Obama Supporter: Goolsbee Should Clarify NAFTA Comments To Canada

A bit of a veer off topic on the Obama conference call to press Clinton to drop Mark Penn.

Teamsters President James Hoffa, asked about Austan Goolsbee and the Canadians, said he thought Goolsbee and Obama should clarify "the mystery about what happened."

"I think that he should make a statement. I don't know what happened in that, but I think he should come up and say what he believes," said Hoffa. "He should certainly clarify whatever happened in that meeting."

It is not surprising that Mr. Hoffa was confused. The MSM gives Clinton a free pass every time she repeats these right wing Nata-gate lies even though they were debunked by the Canadian Prime Minister over a month ago as blatantly unfair to Obama.

It seems that all the networks have adopted a "fair and balanced" approach to the news, where "fair and balanced" means never having to say "you're lying".

The Teamsters endorsed Richard Gephardt (instead of Al Gore) in 2000 and Howard Dean in 2004 (instead of John Kerry or John Edwards) in 2004. In 2008, the Teamsters endorse Obama who actively tells foreign officials he's just kidding when he says he's going to renegotiate trade agreements. Good job, Jimmy. You're a smuck!

What no one else is paying attention to is that Obama recently announced his support for Bush's SPP (spp.gov), aka "NAFTA on steroids". Not only that, but he needed to speak in code when doing it:

Ummm, wasn't this issue covered in news reports that said the whole thing was a fabrication of a nasty Canadian official trying to aid the Clinton campaign in OH? There was or still is an investigation going on in Canada about this. The Canadian gov't even issued a full apology to Obama. Americans have to be spoon fed information in sound bites or grandiose speeches full of sound bites just to get the point. jeeeeeezzzzzz!

The thing is, the MSM didn't spend a lot of time discussing the Canadian apology or the Clinton connection for that matter. After days and days of media coverage on the faux info not much more than a whisper came after it was determined that Obama was wrongly accused. As a result a lot of people still believe the original story.
