Baby With Two Faces Doing Well One Month After Birth

A BABY born with two faces is doing well one month on from her birth.

Tot Lali was born in a northern Indian village with two noses, two pairs of lips and two pairs of eyes - but only two ears.

Hundreds of pilgrims have visited Lali, worshipped as the reincarnation of a Hindu goddess, and her impoverished parents to touch her feet out of respect and receive blessings.

The baby has caused a sensation in the dusty village of Saini, 25 miles from New Delhi.

One reason for all the publicity this child is getting is probably due to the fact that babies born with this condition -- diprosopus -- are stillborn or rarely survive for more than a few days maximum following birth. Also remarkable is the way the culture treats the deformed. If this child had been born in medieval KKKristian Europe, she would have been killed as devil spawn. The Hindus, in contrast, make her a living goddess. It's a lesson in tolerance that the intolerance of KKKristian-driven western culture could use.

why do you keep posting stories of deformed girls from India? Why are you taking the dignity away of a child who obviously does not have the power to speak for herself? When our returning soldier start having these baby's will we get pictures.

I have seen no such photos of baby's that are being born right now in Iraq with horrific birth defect.
