"In Al Gore's brand-new slideshow, he presents evidence that the pace of climate change may be even worse than scientists were recently predicting, and challenges us to act with a sense of 'generational mission; -- the kind of feeling that brought forth the civil rights movement -- to set it right. Gore's stirring presentation is followed by a brief Q&A in which he is asked for his verdict on the current political candidates' climate policies and on what role he himself might play in future."

"In this slide, the polar bear is on ice.

In this slide, the ice is gone and the polar bear is not on it. He is at the zoo. Because of global warming.

If anyone tells you differently they are a denier, like Hitler. No, no....put your hands down, there will be no questions. Now, let me start over. In this slide...."

Rats. I just had one word for Al, too. "Greenland." Why did they give that icy place that name?

The slick trick behind global frauding
By James Lewis

http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/04/the_slick_trick_behind_global.html

In Stalin's Russia any dissenter from the Party Line was guilty. Innocence had to be proved. It's a standard tyrant's trick. During the reign of Oliver Cromwell in England, witchhunters did not have to prove that their victims were guilty. The accused witches had to prove their innocence.

That's what Al Gore has done to science: He and his friends have flipped innocence and guilt from normal science to Stalinist science.

To keep everything in perspective:

Isn't Al Gore insane.
Doesn't everybody know this?
It cannot be argued.
Because, the debate is over!

So, stop arguing with insane people.

22 comments? Man, Gore's ship is sinking fast.

By the way, I wonder if any of his slideshow is about the current snow blanketing much of the Midwest on April 11, even cancelling the Braves-Rockies baseball game?

I would like to see Al go on over to China and tell them to 'go green' to save the planet from impending doom after China's has gotten so much of our manufacturing facilities. Al would be laughed at right off the continent.

How cute. The teeny tiny minority of idiots you refuse to believe the world is round are here giving their 'expert' opinions on things.

Well - then disprove THIS: 5000 years ago, global temperatures were up to 2 degrees celsius HOTTER than today!

http://www.climateaudit.org/?p=434

"Also investigations of researchers of the ETH Zurich on the apron of the Unteraargletschers in the upper Bernese country resulted in strongly varying temperatures in the Alps, into whose attendants the glaciers advanced at times and retreated at times. "Scientific and archaeological findings fit together outstandingly", says Suter. From climatic research, it is well-known that in Europe between the 3rd Millenium and 1750 BC, a mild climate prevailed. The average summer temperatures might have been at that time for 0.5 to two degrees higher than today. As consequence the pass was passable over the 2756 meters high Schnidejoch in the summer and represented together with that 2000 meters high Simplonpass the shortest connection between north Italy and the Bernese upper country. The large number of finds is for the Bernese experts evidence...."

Stoneage-hunters didn't drive cars and didn't burn coal. So, what did warm Earth up to 2 degrees ABOVE TODAY'S LEVEL back then - other than natural causes?

If natural causes were the only, reasonable reason for rising temperatures THEN, then it's only logical to assume, that natural causes are also the best reasonable reason for rising temperatures NOW.

Al sums it up. How do we create a sense of urgency in a media environment that constantly feeds Americans junk? It's our centrall problem. Because he's also right about the need to translate that sense of urgency into votes, so that we change the players in Washington. We can't get anything done without changing the laws and changing the policy. And that requires political will—elected officials willing to do the work.

Smart man. As usual.

Why the rage?
It astounds me when I read some of the comments.
Let me ask you all a few questions.
Why do you hate Al Gore so much?
What are you projecting of your own psychological baggage on the man?
Do you actually listen and think about what he or anyone who doesn't fit your political filters?
Why should we listen to you if you don't.
All of us Liberal, Conservative and Moderates live in a democracy that promotes the ideal that we are responsible for listening, evaluating and choosing amoug different views and then deciding and voting on who and what to support.
If all you have is rage, then you add nothing to the discussion.
How very tragic and I suspect if you had to engage in an actual - in the same room - public forum with actual people who disagree with you, that you would be incapable of moving, inspiring or causing others to consider your views.
Let us get past the culture wars and engage each other in dialouge!

That is exactly what Al 'the debate is over" Gore is NOT doing. Comparing skeptics of his hoax to holocost deniers and refusing to debate anyone on the issue. Forcing us, through government mandates, to buy flouresent bulbs and taxing the hell out of us in the name of the enviroment.

I "dialouge" would be great, but the left is trying to shut that down.

That's where the rage is coming from.

Gore has miffed the chance, to make good for everything Bush has done wrong during his two terms, by skipping the race for nomination.

As president of the USA, Gore could have influenced and, managed EVERYTHING in favour of his environmental agenda POSSIBLE, with MORE momentum and, political power even IMAGINABLE.

Yet, Skipping the presidency, and concentrating on his business affairs, instead, clearly pulls the mask off Gore's environmental engagement: Al is after making money out of his "environmental" engagement - BIG money. Nothing else.

Al could have gained GAZILLIONS of iprovements for the environment, had he become president of the USA. But, instead, he chose to make GAZILLIONS of DOLLARS.

So, What counts more for Al Gore: Environment - or Dollars?

Smell, anyone?

Hey Al, the global temperature hasn't gone up since 1998 and this year it's going down.

http://www.dailytech.com/Temperature+Monitors+Report+Worldwide+Global+Cooling/article10866.htm
This means that it was hottest when he and B.J. occupied the White House. Nice work, Uncle Al.

Looks like Al "P.T. Barnum" Gore is going to have to find another scam to help sell his carbon credits.

Get over yourselves Libs, you can't change or control the climate.

Junk comment. Truth is only dangerous to absolutism. Since Al Gore is an emperor without clothes, I give a damn for environmental absolutism. SInce when are facts junk? I mean - inconvenient facts for all apologetics of a global greenhouse effect, they are. But what else?

Hey, how about having less children. 2 per family. Anything more than that should be frowned upon.

My friend, you have unwittingly come across the underlying reason behind global warming.

A hatred of people.

Now where does that come from....

Al Gore is the biggest snake oil salesman in history. Unfortunately, it's all he can do to keep up with demand.

I want sin credits. Then I can sin all I want, buy the credits and be sin neutral. Or, better yet, travel around sinning and make a profit selling sin credits, but make a point of telling everyone that I'm sin neutral. If you have enough cash, you too can be sin neutral.

You've got to admire his entrepreneurial spirit. He does not even discuss his needing to sin less.
