Will Ferrell Brings Back Bush Impersonation, Slams Jon Stewart

Will Ferrell dusted off his George W. Bush impersonation Sunday night to raise money for autism education. The cause, Comedy Central's "Night of Too Many Stars: An Overbooked Benefit For Autism Education," was started by "Saturday Night Live" writer Robert Smigel, whose son is autistic. Ferrell, as Bush, shared reflections of his legacy with host Jon Stewart.

NEW POLL IN MICHIGAN: BARACK OBAMA IS THE BETTER CANDIDATE AGAINST MCCAIN.

Barack Obama leads McCain in Michigan 43 to 41% with 8% undecided, but Hillary is losing to McCain in Michigan 46 to 37%. Barack Obama is clearly the Democrats strongest candidate against McCain in the general election. I copied and pasted the poll below, and the Link is here:

LANSING, Mich. (AP) -- A new poll shows Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama doing better against Republican John McCain among Michigan voters than Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton.

The poll by Lansing-based EPIC-MRA shows 43 percent of the 600 likely voters polled back Obama, while 41 percent back McCain. Eight percent say they'd vote for independent candidate Ralph Nader, while 8 percent are undecided.

McCain leads Clinton 46 percent to 37 percent. Ten percent say they'd vote for Nader and 7 percent are undecided.

Fifty-nine percent have a favorable opinion of McCain, while 55 percent feel that way about Obama and 45 percent about Clinton.

The poll was conducted April 3-8. It has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.

OMG - I just looked it up - I love Skee Ball. I found a broken one at Ascarate Park in El Paso ages ago, and played it for hours, and won a zillion tickets. I got these 2 US Flag goblets as prizes. I still have them! I could barely move my right arm for three days.

Oddly enough, when I was in Blackpool, England, during the Illumination, and I found ANOTHER broken Skee Ball machine and played that until my arm cramped up. I got a small bathroom-like glass with shells on it. I still have that, too.

LOL - Yea, W, put a Skee Ball at the Presidential Library!

What I think is funny is that people think they can tell other people what they are supposed to think is funny. I personally think that Will Ferrel is absolutely hilarious, but I also understand that is only my opinion. I don't particularly care if others don't find him funny since I will continue to enjoy him as long as I find him funny. The clip here isn't his funniest work in my opinion, but still funnier than many other SNL alums in my opinion.

That magic word "opinion" makes a huge difference, since ultimately, it is what everyone here is expressing.

It's the best impersonation of Dubya ever. I don't care who else they've roped into it (I stopped watching SNL years ago), Farrell hits it right on the head every time. Just because the man made some movies that some folks think are lowbrow doesn't mean that he hasn't got talent. Much of his stuff is hilarious on multiple levels...there's the lowbrow stuff, then there are things that you wouldn't catch unless you're pretty sharp. It's a lot like how Chevy Chase used to be back in his Fletch days. Some folks just don't hit both levels, they're too smart to be interested in the silly stuff, but don't catch the subtle stuff...and so, they just don't get it.

Not Will Ferrell's best W impersonation. I do have one thing to say in regard to all the people on here that think Will is not a funny guy: You all are SO wrong. Will is easily top 5 SNL alumni as far as funny goes. He's got an uncanny ability to hit all the right notes of absurdity. Maybe the absurd is not funny to some. Then again, what do those people know about comedy anyway. Most of the detractors of Will seem bitter. They cling to their guns and religion to vent their frustrations. HAHAH! Now THAT is funny.

Dude, I watched SNL from the beginning. Will Ferrel is hysterical - he can also be monotonous. I'm glad you think you know what all the right notes are. I'll tell you what's absurd - your post - but it ain't funny.

BTW, I'm an atheist. The only thing I'm bitter about is how SNL went to shit. I do own two guns however. One has never been fired - the other is a shotgun I inherited from my Grandfather - it hasn't been fired in twenty years at least. So I'm not exactly clinging to my guns.

SNL has gone downhill because Lorne Michaels has NO edge. He's too worried about offending anyone, and too caught up in being buddies with all the people his employees are supposed to be tearing down. All SNL needs to do to get that edge back is for Michaels to retire...if they replaced him with someone a little more current, the show would probably bounce back.
