Barack Obama's dad was such an important but absent figure in his life that he devoted his first book, Dreams From My Father, to the search for details about his father's life and how the quest helped forge a son's identity.

Now, a long-forgotten essay written 43 years ago by Obama's father has surfaced, and its contents reveal much not only about the senior Obama's grasp of economic theory but also the iconoclastic politics that, his son would later write, sent him into the spiral of career disappointment that concluded with his death in 1982 in his native Kenya.

Rev. Wright's Church is building him a 10,000 sq.ft house in an all white neighborhood on a golf course.......and has given him a $10 million dollar line of credit.

Time for the IRS to step in!

The expose reads like the Jr. Obama comes from a line of thinkers and problem solvers one of which is his father. His mother and grandparents had to be the central impacting force but there is no accounting for DNA; or at least not to the point of determining life outcome --and yes I know experimentation in and maybe even live application of genetic science to prove me wrong may be taking place or has already taken place.

His father was not there to personally influence his political maturation but of one thing I am certain. He would be proud and probably critical all at the same time, like father's can be.

Great article on Barack H. Obama, Sr. Amazing that some his predictions have come true. His warnings about the lack of inclusion and distribution of wealth has resulted in an underclass. He warned 40 years ago that when farmers and their family left their farms in search of work in the cities, that the government's desire to now keep them on their farm would fail. His argument for a fair deal for farmers fell on deaf ears.

He was punished for speaking truth to power by articulating the needs of the downtrodden and oppressed. I guess members of his government 40 years ago didn't want to hear the people were bitter.

They failed to listen to Obama, Sr., Officials in Kenya broke the spirit of those excluded by advancing policies that led to their disempowerment.

For sixteen years, global corporations and foreign interest has harmeed U. S. citizens in ways too numerous to count. In recent years, we have begin to feel the effects of failed policies established in the 90's. Heaped on top of those failures are the hideous, anti-citizen policies of GWB.

It's time for a change in the political status quo within our beloved United States of America.

Let Hillary Clinton and her husband show us the various parents Phd dissertation.............I bet we will have to wait for a long f----ckin' time, you what? B' cos they did not go to college, simple as that.

Obama's mother wrote hers and so did his father, and besides all the hulaa baloo he was a learned figure wo could predict accurately the economic variables that ought to be engage to enhance and advance the Kenyan story. I see this as Great credit to his name posthumously, and that for me is an attestation and indicaton to a brilliant IQ Obama has inherited(albeit from both fine parents) and he can never be faulted for that wonderful gift others lack. More grease to your elbow Obama. When you read HR's husband book you will know that his father was just a drunk and nothing more. They are openly seething with jealousy and bare face anger....... Obama '08 all the way.

And see, this is what Rev. Wright was talking about when he said in so many words that HRC enjoyed the priviledges that if the shoe was on the other foot it probably would not have happened for Obama.

I'm glad this story came out, because you see this is what Rev. Wright was talking about when he said in so many words that HRC was more priviledged because she's White. If the shoe was on the other foot and Obama had parents like the Clintons he would most likely be a homeless crack head, in prison, or dead! The doors that were opened for the Clintons were doors opened for Whites only, and both of them know that. I used to support HRC, but she is clearly in denial. If that's how she is now she will be more of that if she gets into the executive office.

I have gone to Politico and read about "Long-lost article by Obama's dad surfaces." I also read the article. Here is the link:

http://tinyurl.com/4rdgv5

Bill and Hilllary Clinton have been complaining that Obama has not been vetted. Obviously the Clintons have vetted him. That is the job of the Opposition Research of her campaign. She found nothing except what she has already given to Drudge, but she had to put the fear out there. Well, the longer this goes on, the deeper the opposition is digging into Obama"s background. No skeleton. It swells my heart that Obama had a father who was articulate enough to publish papers " highly intellectual and philosophical musings of a father he hardly knew.

I haven"t seen papers written by Hillary"s dad. So, Hillary, show us a copy of your dad"s PhD dissertation. Both of Obama"s parents have theirs. Where are your parents" PhD papers? I am waiting.

Come on, Ben Smith! Don't you have something better to air out, say, Rev. Wright? So Obama's father wrote something. Is it relevant to Obama who basically grew up without him?

Why don't you check out what kind of toothpaste Obama uses--that may be far more relevant!

"The article, with a loaded term in the title and a casual discussion of socialism, communism, and nationalization, has raised the hackles of some anti-Obama conservatives who have been discussing it online."

Because we know that there is nothing worse than having a long dead father that writes about socialism and communism in a country that is not the US. Relevance?

Now you can see why Obama moved to Chicago even though he had no connection to the city, it was the center of radical blacks in this county. The absent father of Obama seemed to make a very large impression on Obama, looks like he based his life trying to fill the mold of his father.

Yeah we are a real radical bunch here on the Southside. Idiot. Why is it every Black man is a radical? Dr. King was a communist sympathiser too. I happen to think that someone who would lead a country to invade another based on false claims is truely radical.

I'm not sure how appropriate this is to the candidacy of Barak Obama but it does show some of the thinking of a black man in Africa living in a situation where the control lies totally in the hands of white colonial powers. Relevant to the time but not to today.

BHO,Sr., (1964) ""The question is how are we going to remove the disparities in our country such as the concentration of economic power in Asian and European hands while not destroying what has already been achieved and at the same time assimilating these groups to build one country."

Given that Obama's father wrote this over 40 years ago about Kenya, it's pretty amazing that in 21st century America, the core problems persists: wage inequalities (the rich get richer!) and an effete Power Elite controlling the Government and the MSM and operating to benefit cliques of self-serving special interests.-- not the total electorate or the Greatest Good for the Greatest Number.
The Clintons and McCain and Bushes are all TEXTBOOK cases about what's gone wrong in our wistful America and undermines the dreams of our forefathers. A growing, vibrant, prosperous Middle Class fed and was fed by American democracy, and provided the greatest hope for transcending bitter wars between the Haves and the Have-Nots. Whether it's power or money, the Have will do or say anything to keep control of the nation's resources. An educated and involved electorate CAN keep the greed in-check--at least in a constitutional democracy--AND build a bigger pie for all to enjoy. Americans have a real chance in this election to reclaim the country and re-institute the dreams of all our forefathers.

The feeding of the news beast has reached new heights with this story from Politico.

Dear Politico,
Please spend your time writing real stories that have a point. This flippin' story is the exact reason why so many people think journalists and even bloggers are big piles. There are plenty of stories out there that you could investigate and write about that matter so much more than this drivel.
