"Today" Show Fans: Katie, Please Come Home!

On Monday morning, shortly after 7 a.m., Mark Sollars, a chatty teenager in a gray hooded sweatshirt, stood in a crowd at Rockefeller Center and glanced over a police barricade at the alfresco portion of NBC's Today studio.

Sensing a potential interview subject, NYTV pounced. So what exactly should Katie Couric do next with her career?

"Katie should come back here," said the young demo-defying Today fan. "This is where she belongs. Everyone loved her here."

Nearby, production assistants had decked out a slab of Today's outdoor set in Western décor (haystacks, etc.), in anticipation of an upcoming feature on lasso lessons.

"She's a fun kind of person," he said. He gestured at the mechanical bull in the center of the plaza. "Not all serious, you know what I'm saying?"

Yeah Katie, as much as I loathe you, I despise Kathy Lee even more.If that bitch Kathy gets another lift her face will split in half.That said I also have to say that I wouldn't watch 5 seconds worth of TheToday Show, unless there was a .357 pressed against my temple. I really liked Meredith until she jumped ship and signed on with Today. Just another piece of trash whose only journalistic credentials enable her to report on how to make the best oatmeal cookies.

I started watching Today again the day that Meredith Vieira signed-on.
And I STILL have to hold my nose to get past a Roker segment.

If Couric ever comes back, they'll lose me again.

Meredith needs a wardrobe update. Katie and Kathy Lee add spice to the show. Meredith wears drapes in dull colors to work daily.
