Uma Thurman's Naked Nightmare: Tells Letterman Of "Nipplicious Disaster"

Uma Thurman stopped by the "Late Show with Dave Letterman" Wednesday when talk turned to her nipple. As Dave showed pictures of Uma's past and she told about them (like a photo of her at the Nobel ceremony), Uma let out a yelp when a photo from last October's Fashion Rocks event in London came out. Uma's black dress had gone sheer, leaving her right breast clearly visible. She told Dave how it happened, blaming her lack of a "flash test" on the gaffe, and referred to the outfit as a "nipple-icious disaster," saying, "it was humiliating." Get over it, Uma.

1. It's just a breast - a sack of skin housing a mammary gland, fat and human tissue (with or without enhancement).

2. As far as breasts go, it is aesthetically pleasing, at least in my opinion. It's nothing to be ashamed of.

3. Anyone who has watched or ever will watch the theatrical cut of the 1988 film, "Dangerous Liasons", can see your entire body, "fun-bags" and all, quite literally laid out on display with not a stitch of fabric to get in the way. Again, aesthetically pleasing and nothing to be embarrassed about there (and as a gay man I say this without the slightest prurient intent).

Maybe things are different now that you're a mother, or perhaps you simply feigned embarrassment to create an entertaining bit of self-promotion, but it's time Americans stopped acting like a bunch of eighth graders every time they see a woman's breast.

John Kerry's daughter, an actor/director, wore a gown, four years ago, that revealed more than Thurman's, under flash bulbs. Given her father's appearance she was surprisingly beautiful.

Great to see real breasts that nursed two real babies. Some women worry that breastfeeding will "ruin" their breasts but nursing my four left mine more attractive, even 13 years later. The breast changes predominantly occur in pregnancy, not breastfeeding. And, considering that breastfeeding greatly reduces a womans chance of breast (and other) cancer, you will have a better chance of unscarred breasts.
