James Bond's Rare Aston Martin Fished Out Of Italian Lake

ROME — The car being used in the latest James Bond film plunged into a lake in northern Italy while being driven to the set.

Producers say the driver of the Aston Martin was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. They say James Bond's iconic car was being delivered to the filming unit in heavy rain on Saturday morning when it went off the road and plunged into Lake Garda.

Italian state TV has shown footage of the smashed, black car being hoisted out of the water.

"Quantum of Solace" is the newest film in the 007 series. It stars Daniel Craig and is due for release later this year.

I dont know about the rest of you, but a car that surely cost at least $180 us, and it slides off the road during a rain shower ? And I like Aston Martins, but this does not do much for their image. I am assuming the driver was a pro and not an 18 year old hired off the street to deliver it either.

I would say, as a person who has driven his share of mountain roads in all conditions, the driver must have been drunk out of his mind. Seems like things like this happen all the time in the movie scene-a lot of odd balls

Good. Now maybe somebody can rescue the even rarer BMW that Disney is allowing to rot away outside the Indiana Jones Adventure in Florida.

I've been searching to find out what BMW it is, I cant find anything on it. Im curious, what is this rare BMW? I havent seen it. Do you have links? Info? Im just a car nut who wants to know....
