Julia Roberts celebrated Earth Day with her pal Oprah on Tuesday. Appearing in a segment about green alternatives to incorporate into you life, along with her friend Sophie Uliano, author of Gorgeously Green, Julia told how she feeds her kids organic foods and composts. Then the subject of skincare, lotion and deodorant came up. But does Julia wear the organic kind? Nope! She wears none at all. "I don't actually use deodorant. I don't like to share that with a lot of people. It's just never been my thing."

Watch her explain to Oprah:

I guess it's just me, but deodorant or not, Julia Roberts has never impressed me with her acting ability. Nor do I understand why she has remained some sort of icon on female beauty. She is too thin and her facial features are disproportionate. "Pretty Woman" ? Get real.

I find it amazing that there is a story in the "entertainment" section on a POLITICAL website about the fact that someone doesn't wear deodorant, yet there is not ONE mention of the incredible John Adams mini-series on HBO. The best movie to come along about the founding of this country (especially considering what this country has been through in the last 8 years) gets no mention at all, yet there's an article about stupid, mindless drivel associated with an actress who may or may not smell bad.

This is why we're in the freakin' mess we're in. What next, "Paris Hilton uses Summer's Eve" as a headline. UGH. HuffPo, you're scaring me.

Another reson to be disgusted by that narcissistic, self-obsessed loon.

And I'm sorry, that clown face has NEVER been attractive.

I ONLY USE ORGANIC...NATURAL DEODERANT. WHO WANTS TO KEEP PUTTING MORE AND MORE CHEMICALS INTO YOUR BODY...UNSAFE AT ANY USE.

Ms. Roberts could dress in an old smelly potato sack and still look sexy.

ive actually known many people over the years who have chosen not to wear deoderant for environmental reasons...i also remember another reason for not wearing it that you end up sweating in other places, like your face, if you thwart the sweat coming out in your armpits...who knows...

She couldn't possibly feed compost to her kids???
Could she???
I have a compost bin in my backyard, I wouldn't eat it. Now, I will put it on my vegetable garden and then I DO eat those veggies. (After they are washed.)
But, eat the compost itself? No-o-o-o-oooo!
Perhaps she should ask the nanny what Hazel and Phinnaeus eat.

"Julia told how she feeds her kids organic foods and composts." Wonder how many composts a day one should consume to stay thin and healthy.

Awkward wording. The copy editor should have said she feeds her kids organic food and (she also) composts. But the idea of Julia Roberts reeking of BO digging into the compost pile with a fork does give one pause.

Julia's right. We've been kicking around here for 100 thousand+ years (sorry, fundamentalists!).
Deodorant and perfume have been available to the masses for maybe 75 years.

Like most men, I love the natural sweaty body smells of the human female. Julia is beautiful-- that coupled with her body odor would drive me and lots of other males crazy. Ergo, more humans, passing our genes for generations until we are facing the dick shrinking world of McDonalds.

BO is natural, and I aint talkin' about Obama!

"Perfume have been available to the masses for maybe 75 years"
Try like, maybe, a couple thousand. Genius.
But I agree with you on BO smelling good. Not the hippie, I-haven't-showered-In-Two-Years BO, but smelling the person vs smelling over-applied crap

Yeah, Julia - we know. We can smell your rankness from here.

Each person's scent/sweat is unique due to carboxylic acid groups in the sweat...that's how dogs pick up scent.
