NEW YORK — The third time could be the charm for Carmen Electra.

The 36-year-old actress is engaged to musician Rob Patterson, Electra's publicist, Brit Reece, said Thursday.

The former "Baywatch" star divorced rocker Dave Navarro in February 2007 after more than three years of marriage. The exes chronicled their coupledom on MTV's "`Til Death Do Us Part: Carmen & Dave."

Electra also had a brief union with former pro basketball star Dennis Rodman. They married at a Las Vegas chapel in 1998, and called it quits after less than five months of marriage.

OK bets are on. A) Will there is an accidental sex tape release? or B) Will the marriage last longer than 1 year?

In other news, guitarist Rob Patterson, best known for his work in the heavy metal band Otep and most recently in Korn, has gotten engaged to some aging, washed up starlet.

Perhaps he's not a huge, famous rock star but to be a touring member of one of the biggest bands of the last fifteen years means he's got a pretty nice paycheck and is more successful at what he does than 99% of everyone who does it.

So why is it that someone famous is always expected to date or marry another famous person?
If they happen to get with someone not as famous or not even famous at all, they are ridiculed, and all they did is act human. Such a shame.

They used to call them (her) "groupies." Well, Paris Hilton has her "career," she has hers. Now can we stop writing and reading about these bimbos?

They are perfect for each other.

They can share eye makeup.

So sad and stupid. Why do these bimbos have to MARRY these losers? Talk about threatening the integrity of a centuries-old tradition!

Not all musicians are losers. The one I am dating use to play in one of the top bands from the 80"s and I don't mean wham. He is very hard working, fun, charming, funny, smart, cultured. You cannot judge all of them by a few. He still works and has on many albums you hear now for varied artists. The fact we are opposites is what attracted us to each other. Its what brings balance to the relationship. His fame isn't what attracted me to him at all. I have worked in the industry and I know its all smoke and mirrors. Noooo, I like being the silent partner. Carmen more than likely is attracted to his non performance stuff much Like I am with my guy. We are not all bimbos who date these gus.

A 2-carat "black diamond" is about $700. A touring guitarist? After Dave Navarro? I give Rob about a year if he doesn't get a job, cuz baby don't come cheap.

When are these girls ever going to learn that rock musicians as husbands "a'int all they're cracked up to be"? You'd think by now she'd get the message. You can only have so many bad marriages before you have to consider that "you" might be the problem.
