Olbermann: Clinton's O'Reilly Appearance "Pathetic And Revelatory"

I knew some day I'd actually write something that did not include a shout about what we're doing on the show. And, my very dear friends, as Mr McCain would begin, this day has arrived. I've been startled to watch two developments anger and shake our respective Coalitions of The Reasonable, without the obvious deflating corollaries apparently dawning on anybody.

Firstly, Senator Clinton's appearance with O'Reilly is more pathetic and revelatory than it is outrageous. Secondly, the "Manchurian Candidate" meme voiced by Coultergeist might be taken down and later used against her.

now that obama has said he will do o'reilly, we'll see 1700 comments saying it is so heroic and brave incredibly big of him to do that show! olbermann will do a 180 and suddenly see the move as not "pathetic" and "revelatory" when hillary did it, but "smart" and "dignified" - Obama is "reaching out" to blue collar workers and lunch pail democrats. after the appearance olbermann will declare obama's performance as flawless. don't bother to set your tivo.

The fact is, neither Hannity nor the next blow-hard O'Reilly, does what Keith Olbermann does, which is gather facts, and then do the rebuttal, to FauxNews "reporters" distortions, fictions and lies. O'Reilly, Hannity, et al operate on the premise, they are talking to idiots with no memory, so they can say one thing today and something else tomorrow, and none of their ditto heads have the common sense to know better and challenge them. Keith always has his facts, with dates and times, to back up his criticisms, which is fine with me.

Clinton went to O'Reilly to trash Obama about Wright which is completely different from Obama going to Wallace's show where didn't trash Clinton but spent most of the hour defending himself and his campaign. What Clinton did on O'Reilly amounted to gutter politics.

Hillary is now friends with Richard Mellon Scaife - the architect behind the " vast right wing conspiracy", courts Rupert Murdoch, appears on Bill O'Reilly's Show twice, gets support from Ann Coulter and Bill Cunningham. Bill Clinton even puts in an appearance on Limbaugh's radio show. Clinton surrogates, Ed Rendell and Terry Mc Auliffe, tell Fox News that it is a great News Channel. Lanny 'Gotcha' Davis is always on Fox News attacking Democrats. Davis loves smearing other Democrats ( "the far left" he snarls) on Fox News (especially with his buddy, Sean Hannity). Hillary started out life as a Goldwater girl - she is returning to her roots.

Bill Clinton once represented hope - his wife personifies fear, hate, cynical calculation, manipulation and a willingness to say or do anything in order to get power.

The last straw for many of us with the Clintons came when Hillary Clinton said that both she and John Mc Cain had passed the Commander-in-Chief test but that Barack Obama had not. This was outright treachery from the Clintons. No wonder Rush Limbaugh has told his listeners to vote tactically for Hillary so that chaos occurs in the Democratic Party. Hillary followed in behind Bush/ Cheney on Iraq when it was popular and she now adopts a similar belligerent neo-con line on Iran on the day of the Pennsylvania vote.

BillO's interview of Hillary was probably the best of the entire year of primaries. I despise BillO and have never watched his show other than this interview. He blew me away with the questions, the pushing, probing and his whole demeanor. They were totally in their elements and Hillary's performance was awesome. I was very proud that she is my candidate.

Or Olbermann's 'interview' with Bill Clinton. That, of course, was ages ago-before Olbermann decided Bill Clinton was a racist bastard. But, a whole year and a 1/2 ago, Olbermann conducted one of the most embarrassing 'interviews' ever recorded. Olbermann was happily licking Bill's backside and stroking his ego to a practically pornagraphic degree. But, at one point, outdid himself by, after bringing up Bill's charity work, actually pulled out a personal check made out to Clinton's foundation, and handed it to him. During the interview. Murrow would be so proud. How many ethical lines did Olbermann cross-I lost count.

Oh, please. That's what fat ass Olbermann says. The idea that O'Reilly, who is something like 6'5" and not a fat ass, would be afraid of girly Olbermann is absurd. Olbermann, remember, is the one who is too cowardly to have differing opinions on his show. O'Reilly, no matter how much you may hate him and think he's a blow hard-never backs away from confronting different opinions. In fact, he relishes it. Olbermann, in contrast, has a show that is nothing more than an echo chamber.

The only thing O'Reilly might be legitimately afraid of is being arrested for failing to control his loathing of Keithy and punching him in the face.
