Danielle Heaney and Nick Cameron are half siblings and they are in love. This poses some problems with the authorities in their native Scotland, where sibling relations are outlawed. But that's not to only shocking thing about this interview: first, their accents are like nothing we've ever heard before. Second, apparently incest is not illegal in France, where they would like to live one day. Watch their story here:

Read more about the incestuous couple here. What do you think? Should Danielle and Nick be separated or left alone?

They should be able to get married. No kids by natural birth though I understand she's unable to conceive. Just my humble opinion.

Whaddayamean 'accents like we've never heard before'? They have nice normal Scottish accents. Did ya never hear Billy Connolly?!?

Very easy accent to understand - no need for the subtitles. What really annoyed me was the sleazy ad I had to watch before the news clip started.

First of all they didn't grow up together so it isn't like the usual brother sister growing together thing had any influence.

As well WHO CARES? No children involved so what is the big deal.

PLUS they aren't full brother and sister.

Hell if I had the money I'd pay their way to France and set them up in a house. They are being persecuted for being in love If it is true love who are we to say what is right and what is wrong. They are grown up consenting adults.

What else is is there to say?

I wish them a long happy life together and in love.

Apparently you've never heard an interview of the actor James McAvoy (Last King of Scotland, Atonement). Same accent.

I really had no problem understanding the guy talking, but his half-sister was another story. Perhaps she has a little bit of a Scottish lisp? Just a thought

Well they cant have kids so I dont see any practical problems here, they should be left alone.

I totally agree! They weren't brought up together, so what is the problem. Let them move to France and enjoy their lives together. Exactly who are they hurting if there are no children involved. It's absolutely incredible to think that two adults - even close relations - could be put in jail for loving each other. I think Scotland needs to rethink these archaic Laws ( and I'm a Scot ).
Re the accent: I've been in the US since 1956 and I still have traces of a Scottish accent - especially when speaking to my relatives in Edinburgh- that's when it really comes out.

"They weren't brought up together, so what is the problem.'

Actually that is the crux of the problem, siblings who are brought up together go through a sort of reverse imprinting that takes away sexual attraction to one another.

Relative who meet as adult not having this reverse imprinting can often experience Genetic Sexual Attraction which is what is at play here.

Now if they don't have children and never intend to I'm not sure France isn't eminently sensible about this but the strength of the attraction between the two isn't simply a meeting of minds, it's the result of their not growing up together.
