Jayde Nicole: Pictures Of Playboy's Playmate Of The Year

Canadian fashion model Jayde Nicole, 22, was named Playboy's 2008 Playmate of the Year at a luncheon yesterday at the Playboy Mansion, winning her a nude spread in the June issue, a 2008 Cadillac CTS, and $100,000 in prize money.

Jayde Nicole's MySpace page has several photos of her as well as the below YouTube video, the Jayde Nicole Playboy Playmate Video Data Sheet, where she lists turn-ons ("respect, honesty, and guys that smell good") and turn-offs ("conceited guys and fake people").

Jayde Nicole began modeling in Canada when she was six, but began seriously modeling at the age of 15. She has a tattoo of the word "respect" on her lower abdomen.

A tattoo of 'respect' is a visual oxymoron. In 40 years her grandkids can say "Grandma, show us your tats."
When exactly did tats go from truck drivers and trailer parks to Hollywood and the pages of Playboy.

An observation: if Hef would not encourage the models to have faux breasts, maybe it would help our culture recover from its current obsession with artificial breasts over real ones. It makes me sad every time I see one of these pictures, not because of the nudity, but because of what these yount women had to do to their bodies to meet Hefner's criteria of beautiful.

In point of fact, Jayde Nicole's breasts are real.

I find it hard to believe that she does not have artificial breasts. Mother nature does not put mammary glands that huge on a small frame. Later in life, the breasts could become large and misshapen, but not on someone so young.

Comparing the images in today's Playboy with those from half a century ago, I think it is obvious that the centerfolds of today rely on silicone implants to get their jobs. It is rather like the women who work in the shows in Las Vegas. No one forces them to put on fake breasts, but if they want the job, they go for it.

Hugh Hefner is in a unique position to effect the perceptions of Americans. Perhaps the magazine's profits would slip if Hef relied on real women to pose for the centerfolds, but he would be helping millions of women to have a better self image if he did.
