National polling firm Rasmussen Reports announced on Friday that it will stop polling people about the presidential campaign of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton because her opponent, Sen. Barack Obama, will win the Democratic nomination.

The company's vice president of finance and operations, Michael Boniello, distributed an e-mail stating that after 19 months of tracking the Democratic race, it is now clear that Clinton will remain a close second.

How many superdelegates does Obama have now---and why do the different news outlets all have different totals?

The Clinton campaign is delusional. They're looking for Hillary's running mate. Sad. They'll probably hold a separate inauguration for her, too, in which Hillary will wear her favorite Princess outfit. Don't forget the tiara. LOL!

Why not, theres no sense in beating a dead horse...

because 50% or more of dems still support HRC, fool.

Rasmussen is a RNC cover anyway -- they have been wrong so many times it doesn't matter. They cannot poll correctly if they omit HRC from the questions -- it would be a meaningless poll. No discussion on this one.

They're a shootin' !

The upside of this, is Hillary might finally get to experience real sniper fire.

HUGE NC Vote MisCount Favored Obama
by internetstar, Fri May 09, 2008 at 06:39:47 PM EST

In at least one county, ballots were counted twice for Obama.
They gave him 15,000 extra votes.

"MECKLENBURG & WAKE COUNTIES -- Vote tallies are changing in the state's two largest counties, after certain ballots were counted twice in Mecklenburg and Wake counties.

The mistake didn't change the outcome of any elections, but it is a cause for concern to election directors.

For example, when Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama declared victory Tuesday night in North Carolina's primary, he was given approximately 15,000 votes more than he should have been.

That's 1 percent of all ballots cast.

In Wake County, early and absentee ballots were counted as part of the individual voters precincts and again as a whole.

"So in essence, those voters were recorded double," said Cherie Poucher of the Wake Co. Board of Elections. It was around 37,000 votes.

In Mecklenburg County, only absentee ballots - 2,400 in all - were doubled. "It doesn't change any of the results," said Michael Dickerson of the Mecklenburg Co. Board of Elections. "All the winners are still the winners."

She's the one that will break her back working to elect a dem president in this campaign -- herself or Obama, that's who.

Ignore her and her supporters and Obama can't win. Remember, these are primaries and not the general elections -- no caucuses in the general -- real votes and most of those states Obama won have never and will never vote Democratic.

I find it comforting to know that polling companies, big media, and all these moronic commentators have now assumed the role of the American electorate in determining the outcome of our nominating process. It's so much easier this way, isn't it?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 11:35 AM on 05/10/2008

Are you really this obtuse?

She has lost, it is already decided. The American electorate chose Obama. They chose him 2 months ago and it is actually a FLAW in the msm that nobody noticed until now.

Stop playing some kind of victim. When a playoff hockey team loses abest of 7 series 4-2 does the losing team cry foul that they don't play the last game? Get real.

Perfect analogy.

The nomination process would have been decided weeks ago if the media wasn't artificially inflating Clinton's campaign and realistic chances of winning.

Frankly, Rasmussen is only doing this to curry favor with the Obama campaign since the latest data now shows more definitively that Clinton likely beats McCain and Obama likely loses in the general.

An inconvenient truth that the Obama campaign wants to remove from the debate and public discourse.

look at all the latest polls. not only is hillary ahead of obama in the national polls but she polls better than obama when matched against mccain. t

he powers that be rammed W down our throats in 2000, when they mercilessly ripped Gore appart and didn't accurately report what was going on in FL. now they are doing it again.

are they also going to cancel the remaining primaries or not report when hillary trounces obama in the next two.

If polls taken 5 months in advance of an election meant anything, then Dukakis and Kerry would have won.

Hillary LOST the primary. She's broke. Accept reality.

In June of 1992 Bill Clinton was running a distant 3rd after Perot and Bush and look what happened. Strange thing about polls, they change as do circumstance and another Rev. Wright outburst, an examination of BO's political life in Chicago and Michelle's anti-white rants in her graduate thesis, etc. And the fact that the USA is still a racist and sexist coutnry (as the Obamatons have shown), means that the RNC running his full name, his ethnic name, his very picture will be enough to scare a lot of the white folk into voting RNC in a year when they should be out of all government offices. Not a racist here, just observing facts over the years. Obama will be the Dukakis of the 21st century.

Perhaps Rasmussen should attempt the impossible and ask how many DON'T do polls.
MSM manipulates polls because thats all they have to go on. Thats why I don't do them.

Perhaps thats why the MSM is looking so 'shaky' just now. Their credibility is down the toilet and becoming known as the most 'unreliable sources'

It is more than just rasmussen . It is hard to find hillary on the news these days

mostly it is now down to nothing but the number of SD'S Obama is getting

As for McCain what we have been seeing of him isnt that great-except for he doesnt want Obama calling him nutty

I hope this tactict of calling into question McCain's stability is used at length in the general election
it seems to have hit a nerve with McCain's campaign.

***...Rasmussen Reports will soon end our daily tracking of the Democratic race and focus exclusively on the general election competition between Republican John McCain and Democrat Barack Obama.***
Depending on the standing and reliability of Rasmussen, this could be one of the most telling developments of the last three days. I wonder if the Hillary camp has seen this, if they have informed Hillary of it, and what her reaction will be. My guess is that it will be what it always is: deny, deny, deny, discredit, discredit, discredit.

And Rasmussen doing this means what? The process is over? Who the fuck is Rasmussen but a discredited polling company. There are 50 other polling companies and until Obama gets those 2025 votes AT THE CONVENTION, he is not the nominee.

Pro-choice women know that Clinton's short-term selfish ambition is bad for them.

Her last stand is really about Wright.

Perhaps she should run an exit poll on whether Hagee or Rod Parsley matter in how voters view McCain. Most voters are unaware of their toxic sermons because they're too busy working hard.

If the media dedicated 42% of their political coverage to Hagee and Parsley in April AND McCain's clearly half-hearted denunciations, his religious base would splinter similarly and his polling numbers among independents would fall.

I agree, for many of Hillary's hard working Americans, Wright was a pretext, or a latch-on issue that they could finally point to as a reason not to vote Obama without having to admit they were having difficulty (as Democrats) electing a man who failed by the "1-Drop Rule." It even allowed some to deceitfully claim, "I was planning to support him all along but then this Wright thing happened."

Why do I know this? Because many Americans sticking with Obama have hard-working "Clinton relatives" that have privately admitted as much.

Caution, female Clinton voters "leaning McCain" or planning to stay home may end up having Roe v Wade overturned.

-Justice John Paul Stevens is nearly 90
-We're at 4 Conservative Justices on Supreme Court (Alito, Roberts, Scalia, Thomas)
-The next president will nominate Steven's replacement.

Nice trade - Clinton's last stand = loss of choice for women.
You can have imperfect Obama or McCain.

Please tell me who has polled or defined "hard-working white people" other than the elitist Hillary herself? Who exactly is a "hard-working" white? Just people who make less than $50,000? Why? Who decided to define it this way? Who has the monopoly on hard work?

This is a not so subtle jab at Obama's supporters that offends me deeply. The press took offense at the white portion of her statement. I think Hillary was using code to try to paint Obama supporters as elitist, when it is Hillary herself who is acting like an elitist ass in talking like this. Please do not pick up on this language unless you can defend it, which you can NOT.

We are all hard working for what we make/earn on a daily basis whether it is more or less than $50,000 and no matter who we vote for.

I agree with you. I've particularly noticed the "hard working" artificial divide that's been played up. I think that's code for making very little per hour. I think anyway. Who knows.

Think about it - explain how the media knows who votes for whom. Do they take a survey
at the poll stations? In Texas we have to show ID but the poll help looks at the name and
then searches thru their list to scratch your name off the list, this is verifying that you are
legit. How in the heck does Clinton know just who voted for her and who did not.
This is some crap the media made up. Anyone, please explain.

I am over 50, white, and I earn more than $50K per year. I am college educated. I read.

Apparently, I'm an elitist. Normally, I'd accept that tag without hesitation, but this campaign has redefined that term so that, now, it's negative. In the current Clinton lexicon, I'm someone who is out of touch, unpopulistic, and part of the country club set.

I remember when intellectual liberalism was something to be championed not condemned.

But it doesn't offend you that 92% of blacks support Obama. Why, because he's black. That's a fact, Jack. She was only repeating what the AP and other pundits have been saying and writing about for weeks. For MSNBC talking heads to rake her over the coals on this one is a joke when they have been saying the same thing for weeks. Jeeeezzzzus H. Christ. Get real.

You have to admit, it was a tough contest. But let the people shoulder the responsibility of how things turn out. Clinton will wake up one morning, and realize that the people are past the Bush's, AND the Clinton's.

Amen, amen, amen. Tough as it was, I can take some comfort in seeing the look of defeat on the face of Bill Clinton. His smug, condescending, arrogant style and attitude had a lot to do with his equally smug and divisive wife. Good riddance to them both. My respect for both of them has reached rock bottom. Adios.

I loved seeing Bill Clinton when he came and spoke to the crowds in my town, but that was back when he was stumping for Kerry. It was a thrill, and I had always liked him very much. He spoke to us as if we were all intelligent people, no bombast. His skill was speaking as if he was talking to all of us individually. In the best of all worlds I would have preferred to keep that image of him permanently in my mind and not the one that has replaced it, but I think he has been too close to the situation to be an affective speaker for his wife. He appears to be profoundly hurt to have the nomination pulled out from under them. But them's the ropes.

Bill and Hillary have been the hardest working supporters of Democratic candidates for years. They have stumped across the country and raised tens of millions of dollars for the House and Senate campaign funds and for specific candidates -- such as McCaskill of Missouri who would not be in the Senate if it weren't for Hillary.

So trash them and get rid of them. I guess you think Obama can win the general without the 50% of dems who support HRC. Believe that and you must think McGovern and Dukakis were elected President.

Obama's continued embrace of black liberation church leader Wright just proves his judgement over 20 years is faulty. Wright is a racist pure and simple and if BO didn't know it then he is oblivious to what's around him OR, he believes it himself. We know Michelle does -- she wrote about it in her graduate thesis.
