In the race to decide the Democratic party nominee, it's more or less all over but the sarcastic remarks, but what sarcastic remarks they are! And what a treat it is to see two gentlemen best known for verbal diarrhea pointlessly jabbing at one another on the teevee. We speak, of course of Chris "Mr. Tingle" Matthews and Premature Killer Of Fathers Terry McAuliffe, who met on Morning Joe to blather about Hillary Clinton's chances of winning the nomination. McAuliffe got things started by calling Matthews the "Obama campaign chair." Matthews responded by threatening to inject McAuliffe with truth serum. But it was Mika Brzezinski who got in the best line, for the win.

[WATCH.]

BRZEZINSKI: I think you can start with West Virginia, but even Barack Obama's conceding that one, Terry, so don't take too much credit for it.

MCAULIFFE: Well, first of all, it's a big win, I know that you've got with me today...you've got Barack Obama's campaign chairman, Chris Matthews on the set with you.

MATTHEWS: You know...that's a very effective device, Terry. Very useful in beginning the conversation this morning.

MCAULIFFE: They have all predicted that this race was over. How is it that Hillary Clinton can come back? By winning by 20 plus points tonight. We're up in Kentucky. These are two purple states--

BRZEZINSKI: Not yet!

MCAULIFFE: These are two big states that Bill Clinton won. You can't dismiss it, the momentum is with Hillary.

BRZEZINSKI: Chris, is that true.

MATTHEWS: You know, you did begin the evening last Tuesday, Terry, with the same sort of exuberance, saying the momentum was with Hillary. Because we were looking at the early returns from Indiana. Of course they turned out to be much closer than many had thought, including you. Do you really believe, under sodium pentathol, that the momentum in this campaign is with Hillary Clinton?

McAULIFFE: First of all, I'm always exuberant, Chris. That is my nature.

MATTHEWS: But I'm talking about the sodium pentathol. Have you taken an injection to add truth to that exuberance.

BRZEZINSKI: Maybe it's methamphetamine.

MCAULIFFE: I believe a win is a win, she won Indiana, we're going to win tonight.

We are in this together people so let's end the fighting and smash the Republicans and their shameful war in Iraq!!!! SPREAD THE WORD THAT REPUBLICANS IN DISGUISE ARE TRYING TO STIR UP FIGHTS BETWEEN CLINTON AND OBAMA SUPPORTERS IN BLOGS!!

Obama launched his IL senate candidacy at the door-step of Bill Ayers the underground terrorist
One of his best friends in the Chicago elite circle was a fella named Rashid, an Iraqi with Hamas connections
Wright ... well we all know his Farrakhan, Libyan/Gaddafi connections and his longstanding relationship with Obama. Not to forget his inflammatory, racist, bigoted and seperatist speeches
Michele Obama claims America is a mean Country and she never had any reason to be proud of the Nation she is clamoring to be the first lady of!
Lack of lapel pin as a protest against patriotism
Crotch salute to the flag during the rendering of the National Anthem!

Well, no wonder Obama is the hero of all the far-left-loons-America haters!!!

"think you can start with West Virginia, but even Barack Obama's conceding that one,
Terry, so don't take too much credit for it."

Mica is in above her head.....what does this mean? "Even BO is conceding that one"; she thinks Hillary and her campaign can't take credit for a landslide victory in WV. How insipid! She certainly gave credit to BO when won NC. The only difference is BO knew he would lose in WV;
so he didn't campaign. Hillary fought for every vote she got in NC. BTW...NC had a big loyal black population, WV has a large, what Obaminations and MSNBC called "white trash population. Hillary fought for every vote she got in NC....BO ran out of WV with his tail between his legs.....knowing he couldn't win in WV. He has a history of avoidance; just look at the way he took his name off the ballot in Michigan because he thought he couldn't win. But realizing it might endear him to Iowa and NH voters, he took his off the ballot.. He did not take himself off the FLORIDA ballot, where he probably thought he had a chance. And he broke his pledge not to campaign by running a national ad before the Florida primary. Then he used the lame excuse that the cable TV station where he bought the ad
couldn't not play it in all 50 states. What a crock........he knowingly broke the law to gain an edge.

Senator Obama STILL leads in every category: more than 150 pledged delegates ahead, most primaries won, he leads in the popular vote AND he leads in declared super delegates. So why should the person in second place in every category, the candidate with 60+% negative rating among the general voting population, be awarded the nomination in direct opposition to the will of a clear majority of Democratic voters? Obama would NEVER refer to people as "white trash". Shame on you.

The only reason Hillary hasn't quit yet is because she wants to recover her $11.4 million. But instead of toning down her rhetoric and preparing her supporters for her inevitable withdrawal, she is cynically indulging her ego and setting up her most loyal followers for a bitter and unnecessary fall, I will take no pleasure in your disappointment, patmancando. Because I understand that the most important thing is putting a Democrat, ANY Democrat in the White House. The next President will appoint two or more Justices to the Supreme Court, decide our future in Iraq and will have the power to restore or further destroy our Bill of Rights. Don't let your devotion to Hillary Clinton blind you to what really matters. President McSame will doom our country.

I really wish that folks would actually speak the truth. Whether you side for Obama or Clinton, at least have the decency to speak the facts. Obama didn't take himself off the Florida ballot, because the rules in the state of Florida do not allow you to do so. And just as you point out the one ad that made it into Florida, it was one ad. And it didn't play in many parts of Florida. It's hard to say that Florida voted when there was no active campaigning here in my state of Florida. In such a "vote" without campaigning the known candidate has a decided advantage to newer not-so-well-known competitors. You don't have to be an Obama supporter to know this.

Plus, Clinton also attended a fundraiser in South Florida before the Florida vote. Once can argue that this violated the rules not to campaign in Florida. I also have never heard the Obama campaign refer to West Virginia voters as "White Trash population." Show the source that said this. I 'get' why people are so passionate about their candidate, but the Democratic party is one party and at the end of the day we've got to get behind the party's candidate even if your candidate lost the nomination. Anything else is simply ridiculous.

I believe Obama has enough superdelegates in his pocket to finish this contest when he likes. The blunt truth for Hillary fans is that she lost this contest months ago, she has been allowed by Obama to play out this charade to bring her supporters down to earth. Obama will not be campaigning against her for the duration of the nominating process as he already knows he is the nominee. He wants Hillary, but more importantly her supporters to wake up to the reality of a Bush/McCain third term and fall into line.

Group pushing Clinton as VP choice secretly
tied to her campaign
Article By Margaret Talev McClatchy Newspapers

A group called VoteBoth has been leading the charge for Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama to team up on the Democratic ticket.
But the people behind it come from just one of those camps " Clinton's " and one of their goals may be keeping Clinton's White House prospects alive.
The group's founder, Adam Parkhomenko, until recently worked as an assistant to Patti Solis Doyle, who was Clinton's campaign manager until February. Parkhomenko in 2003 founded the Draft Hillary for President Committee.
VoteBoth's spokesman is Sam Arora. He's a law school student who in recent years worked for Clinton and for former Democratic National Committee chairman Terry McAuliffe, Clinton's presidential campaign chairman.

VoteBoth's Facebook page lists three others as administrators, all with Clinton connections.
One is a Richmond-based Democratic technology consultant, who was quoted in a New York Times story about the Iowa Democratic Party's 2006 Jefferson-Jackson dinner, where he was passing out "Hillary for President" stickers.VoteBoth first filed with the Federal Election Commission on April 8, two weeks before the Pennsylvania primary that Clinton won and that was considered a crucial window for her comeback.

As Obama's strong showing made him all but certain to clinch the nomination, VoteBoth leaders began putting themselves in the spotlight, sending regular press releases, posting blogs and appearing in interviews.

While Senator Obama clearly has a capacity for forgiveness that far exceeds my own, I can't see him taking Hillary on as his running mate. Not after all of the underhanded tactics and race baiting and not while she refuses to tone down her rhetoric. If Senator Clinton had the best interests of the party at heart she would follow Barack's lead and turn her attacks toward Grampy John McSame. The only positive effect of having Hillary Clinton as his VP would be insurance against assassination attempts by loony right-wing racists - even the most virulent bigot would rather have a black President than be responsible for putting Hillary Clinton in charge. But that would be cancelled out by having to worry about Hillary's rabid delusional fan base. Just look at some of these posts - Obama is the clear winner in the number of pledged delegates, the number of primaries won, the popular vote and the number of declared super delegates and these people insist that Hillary Clinton has the nomination sewn up.

Unlike a lot of people in this country - I vote on my wallet and the issues which leads me away from the GOP. I study the real issues, don't care about race and toughness (side issues). but then again that may be why I am NOT in the group Hillary likes. I think we do these people a dis-service by letting them continue to vote against their economic interrest when we tease them with race baiting. This is truly why they will reamain the underclass and will get worse as they vote against their own economic issues as they are easily swayed by the BS and not the issues between the Dems and the GOP.

I applaud your 'common sense approach. I am a lifelong Democrat and there is just NO WAY I would vote against myself to placate some ridiculous bias. I really do not like the side of Hillary I have seen recently and I am an Obama supporter. As I have written before, Even if they Rip the nomination out of Obama's hands I will show up at the Booth,Hold my Nose, and cast my Vote for Hillary. Like Bill Said,"a refridgerator" could beat a Rebublican this year. Too much is at stake.
And if you are a Woman, you better think about how important your right to choose is to you, because the next President may very well be appointing 2 Supreme Court Justices.

It may not be such a bad thing that Democrats shed the illusion of the so-called Reagan Democrats.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 08:26 AM on 05/14/2008

It's not an illusion. They exist in large enough numbers to swing an election for Obama or to McCain. Belittling or ignoring them is not sound advice. That's why Obama's visits to Florida and Michigan will be in counties that typify the Reagan Democrats--blue collar voters.

Obama's no fool.

Of course, Obama is no fool. I think he should go to those racist enclaves and solicit their support; that's an entirely different strategy - one of a political nature. However, belittling and ignoring them is actually good advice. Their values will never be accepted and should never be allowed any peace.

Hillary has proven to be a despicable racist, as are a large majority of the W. Va. electorate. And everyone knows that Kentucky means "majority, stupid, racist White guy mentality" in the Dixiecrat dialect of the Redneck language. Hillary has also proven to be an ideological warmongerer.

Having said that I hope the best brains in the Demoratic Party undestand what's happening here. Granting Hillary the nomination is rewarding her for racism, lying about nearly everything, warmongering, and breaking the rules to which she agreed. The superdelegates cannot do it as Obama outperformed her fair and square under those rules to which they both agreed and won the majority of popular votes, delegates and states. But Obama getting slaughtered by over 40 points in West Va.,a state that went for Bill, no matter how stupid and racist the vast majority of that electorate, and it is a stupid, racist electorate is, had better not just be dismissed as if it is nothing. It's a devastating problem, along with his other performance problems in important states for the Democrats.

don't worry darlin, there are a some of us on O's side who will be doing the same if the grand drangon of the KKK Hillb-tch manages to wrangle the nomination out of his hands.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 09:02 AM on 05/14/2008

Troll. You would have voted for McCain whether racist, warmongerer Hillary won or not. Bottom line, you like racist warmongerer males more than you like racist warmongerer females (Hillary) anyway.

The funny thing is just because I point the despicable racism of Hillary, West Virginia's and Kentucky's majority electorate and McCain doesn't mean I support Obama. Anyone willing to keep my military family members in harm's way against the interests of the United States and puts forward the lies about how we can't pull out safely, immediately, will not get my vote. That includes Obama.

But a McCain troll like you would take an accurate comment about lying, warmongering Hillary and the West Virginia and Kentucky majority racist electorates from someone who is not supporting either Hillary, Obama or McCain and use it to vote the person whom you were supporting all along -- racist, warmongerer John McCain.

Why would you vote for McCain, because "some" people are a little over zealous? The Obama campaign has displayed no sentiment of hate. Keep in mind there are some who would spew these types of thing on message boards to cause a riff in party unity. You will do what you will... but think about a 3rd Bush term, and what that would be like before you give you vote to McCain. Think about the Bush tax cut he want to remain permanent, while we are on the brink of recession. Think about the 100 year war... just think.

Mika B is one of the most condescending bitches on television. She thinks everyone is beneath her, and she has been cheer leading for Obama since the beginning. She flirts and giggles with every male that comes on the show, she is unwatchable! From the time she came into her position on MSNBC I noticed her arrogance and it just makes me wonder why she is touted as such an expert . Since MSNBC became Obamaland I have switched to CNN and FOX in an attempt to get some unbiased news. We all need to get another point of view.

One of my former colleagues in Wisconsin got a great new position at a West Virginia university two years ago. It looked like such a great position. Once she got there and started working, she was shocked!! She broke her contract and left after a semester. Very traumatic for her to do so, but she felt like the environment she was in was destroying her mental health. She's at a university in Virginia now and loves it.
