Cameron Diaz graces the June 2008 issue of InStyle magazine and chats away in an interview on the inside.

On being single: "People think if you're single, you are incomplete. No. The thing is, I don't want to be in a relationship that makes me incomplete."

On sex: "Are you kidding? I love men. Sex is the best! ...You have to really enjoy [being sexy]. Not fake anything. Sexy is being in the moment, whether that means being coy or coming on hard. Faking is always lame and it never comes across the way you want it to."

On body hair:
"I love chest hair. Mm-hmm. I'm not saying I want a huge amount, but the right amount is very sexy. I don't like the smooth, hairless body."

On her dating life: "I'm a woman. Of course I'm dating. And is that so surprising? Oh my god, she's dating!

On potential dates:
I"'m not going to bring some idiot into my world, and if I'm not sure about him, I'm cautious... My list is all about balance. You can have smart but not funny. You can have funny but not very smart. You can have intellectual but not social. But... I want it all! I love big brains. I love to eat. I love to be outdoors. I love to have conversations! I love to make love. I live like arrrgh! I don't do anything half-assed, and I want somebody who can keep up with all that. And I want someone who can show me something, you know?"

You know, I have absolutely NOTHING against Cameron Diaz. I think she is still a very attractive woman. However, she is beginning to have that stretched look. And it sort of looks like she's had some minor work.

I think that Terry Gilliam best depicted the worst of this stretched phenom in his film Brazil when Katherine Helmond who played an aristocrat of dubious age had a horrid plastic surgery scene where Mr. Gilliam has plastic saran wrap forcefully pulled across her face to the point where it expands horizontally with each wrinkle and imperfection being made grotesquely perfect and frozen in a plastic nightmare.

When I recall that scene, it seems like a foreshadowing of the botox and fish lip horrors of which we see so much lately. I just hope Cameron goes the Jamie Lee route instead of the Demi-Freeze.

If you want an idea about her brains then watch, "Lost in Translation." The blonde bimbo was modeled after her personality.

Thank God! I've been trying to get through to Wmagazine re: their May issue with Cameron Diaz on the cover. I've failed, totally and therefore,as a non-repentant political nerd,am submitting the thing I wrote to Wmagazine to my favourite web site.

"CD looks superb. However, why the direct quotes from La Diaz? To paraphrase
the lady:-"
"Last year I had, like bowel surgery and it was awesome. I was like, grossed out.
When 'My goofy-meets-clever' surgeon told me I had cancer. I was like, totally wiped
out. He turned out to be a real dork 'cause boy did he make a wrong call. Of all the types
of the big 'C' he told me I had; it turned out to be none of them. I had like, diverticulitis, or
something like that". Holding my hand over my mouth and dissolving into a fit of
giggles, "I have to say it's like, eewwww, gross! I know it sounds corny, but I kinda
had a mind-altering experience!".

PS: Also they had an interesting but I suspect superficial article on Ariana Huffington.

The scenario is true, but the operation, one of four, including a tummy tuck took place four years ago. So far, I've never been better.

Cheers

PS: They printed an interesting, although I suspect superficial, article on Ariana Huffington.

PPS. I tried to print this in the readers' comments section, with no joy.

My name, address, telephone, fax and email addresses were included.

Ok, she's not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
I'd still tap it.

What exactly did she say that made you think she's dumb?

Oh, and I'm sure she'd love to hear you'd "tap" her.

Duh.

She's a "complete zero?"

And what exactly have YOU done with YOUR life thus far?

You do know she's an actress...right?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 06:14 PM on 05/17/2008

I hope you're not implying that because someone is an actress that we are to assume they've done something with their life. It isn't as if she's out there attempting to cure cancer. Give me a break.

I once told The New York Times that I love sex.

Hey, there are idiots who claim they do not like sex. The old "lay back and think of England crowd", or lost old people who even doubt that a female should have an orgasm. Or like many fundementalists who believe that women's charms are the root of men doing sex, so that a woman must always be covered up or escorted in public. Sad. sad people who must literally hate being a human being.

Cant help loving this girl, no matter what she says or does! I always see her as the girl from 'The Mask'. I think she can probably get away with anything. Life is not fair! :)

I think she's great, and not dumb at all. On the contrary.

I especially like what Ms. Diaz said about being honest. Like someone or not, if they are honest enough to let you know who they are, without needlessly hurting your feelings, one should respect them for that.
I think her joy of life and attitude are reflected in many of her roles, and it is easy for people to identify with her. Ms. Diaz is actually sharing with us a genuine philosophy, not something written for her by a front office stooge.

In my view, Cameron Diaz is an example of why Hollywood is so loathed in much of America. Trivial from top to bottom. Moreover, she doesn't empower women at all. Why is she appearing on the cover of magazines that promote the "women must be sexy" notion. Doesn't she realize that sexy is the new slavery? Sexy was invented so as to put women in their place, to get them to buy revealing clothes, to get them to put on make-up and stilletoes, to get them to be bisexual. All for the benefit of their fully-clothed, striclty heterosexual boyfriends, of course.

Wake up, girls. You're being conditoned to please heterosexual men. And you're falling for it hook, line and sinker.

John77,
Lighten up please!

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 08:36 AM on 05/18/2008

Is this any less the case in regards to men? Admittedly or not, men are just as "conditioned" to "appeal" to heterosexual women. So what? Why is this necessarily a bad thing. Now if it leads to a diminishing of self worth, self image or health problems, then yes, one should be worried, but if a person takes care of themself and wants to be attractive to the opposite sex... c'est la vie!

I take care of myself because I'm otherwise conditioned to do so for reasons that extend beyond a desire to be found attractive, but if that is a result of my efforts, so much the better. Men and women [in most cases] are "designed" to be attractive to each other and I dare say that sometimes, looks don't matter one bit. It's about preference just as much as it is about projection. This is why I don't get the liposuction, facelift, botox, boobjob mentality. There a men out there who find big women sexy and wouldn't touch a super model. And what's wrong with a mature women who has a few wrinkles and crow's feet? And gray hair... It doesn't seem to be hurting Meryl Streep or Richard Gere [et al] very much. Why does "looking young" and fit have to be the barometer for what's sexy, appealing and/or viable?

Get a grip!

John77, I notice that every single one of your posts goes on about bisexuality in women. What is up with that?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 10:26 AM on 05/17/2008

Can't you guess what's up with John 77 when he thinks about bisexual women?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 04:43 PM on 05/18/2008

Being and feeling sexy is fun and not only something you can share or give to someone else, but something you yourself can enjoy!

Being sexy is a very personal thing. It does not have to involve stilettoes -- and it surely does not have to include being bisexual!! Sexy is being comfortable in your own skin, and being happy with and proud of yourself.

Ain't nothing wrong with taking care of yourself and enjoying the gifts God gave you. And ain't nothing wrong with sharing that with someone and having a good time.

I think Cameron Diaz sounds sweet and brimming with energy and life. Don't be a sour-puss. Have some fun. Have some sex!
