This frame grab taken from a video message carrying the logo of al-Qaida's production house as-Sahab and provided by IntelCenter, a U.S. government contractor monitoring al-Qaida messaging, shows a graphic used on the May 16, 2008, al-Qaeda's as-Sahab Media release of a new video featuring an audio statement from Osama bin Laden to the people of the West about Israel's 60th anniversary. It is the third statement from bin Laden to be released in 2008. There are no English subtitles. CAIRO, Egypt — Osama bin Laden released a new message on Sunday accusing Arab leaders of sacrificing the Palestinians and calling on Muslim militants in Egypt to help break the blockade of Gaza.

Bin Laden called Arab leaders "agents of the crusaders" and "wolves" in the audio message posted on an Islamic militant Web site where al-Qaida leaders have issued past statements. He portrayed the citizens of Arab nations as herds of sheep who have been handed over to the wolves to look after them.

"Every day, the herd wishes the wolves would stop preying on it," he said.

"Those (Arab) kings and leaders sacrificed Palestine and Al-Aqsa to keep their crowns. ... But we will not be relieved of this responsibility," bin Laden said.

Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem's Old City is one of the holiest sites for Muslims.

Al-Qaida leaders are increasingly using the Israeli-Arab conflict in their media campaign to rally supporters. Israel has warned of growing al-Qaida activity in Palestinian territories, although the terror network is not believed to have taken a strong role there so far.

The new audiotape comes just two days after bin Laden's last audio message was released, marking the 60th anniversary of Israel's foundation. He vowed to continue what he called his struggle against the Jewish state.

Israel and Egypt have closed their borders with Gaza since the Islamic militant group Hamas violently seized control of the Palestinian territory in June of last year.

The closure has deepened economic hardship in the impoverished strip where 1.4 million Palestinians live.

"Each one of us is responsible for the death of our vulnerable people in Gaza where scores have died because of the blockade," bin Laden said.

He urged Muslim militants in Egypt to try to end the closure.

"They are the only ones close to its borders and they must work on breaking this blockade," he said.

Bush & Cabal and Osama bin Laden...The Odd Couple

Bush & Cabal and the Repugnantcons are Osama's best recruiters.

Osama is Bush & Cabal and the Repugnantcons fear card that has ensured their incumbencies.

These two are essential to each other's success. Neither would think of eliminating the other.

Think about it!

Always curious, the timing on these bin Laden audio (not video) tapes. If you didn't know better, you'd think the release of these tapes had been orchestrated to strike fear into the hearts of common American folk, at some pivotal moment.

As for the lingering presence of Osama bin Laden, it's transparent to many Americans, along with the rest of the world, that the two wars we started in Iraq and Afghanistan have always been about staking claim to oil fields and laying pipelines, and nothing to do with bin Laden, otherwise, (can you say C-I-A?) he'd have been long gone.

You ever see Olbermann's piece showing the correlation between Homeland Security threat levels and Republican problems? Pretty damned revealing. Everytime an embarassing story came out about the Administration or the Republican Congress, the threat level jumped and mysterious plots were revealed. Classic diversion tactics.

Look for a parade of phoney threats to be trotted out this Fall just in time to scare the masses.

He's either dead, or he shaved his beard and his living in Miami South Beach. Who would ever be able to tell him from anyone else there?

You really ought not to pay any attention to Osama speeches any more. It does not resonate with anyone any more, not even with the extremist among his used-to-be followers. In away, his speeches are like President Bush's speeches, they have no impact among their followers anymore.

It's all about control -- and scaring the hell out of you and your children. Our Emmanuel Goldstein will no longer have a specific and recognizable face; he will be truly multifaceted, have many sides, many visages, and be ever shifting and thus ever elusive (and forever dangerous). Like Orwell's Emmanuel Goldstein, al-Qaeda will turn up here, there, in Eastasia and then Eurasia, one step ahead of the federales and special forces, always poised to attack, especially during times of economic crisis (or when the rich need another tax cut).

Osama had a shelf life, al-Qaeda does not.

IF the accompanying photo is current, he hasn't aged in the years we have been aware of him.
I think it's more like a slight of hand trick, probably concocted by the CIA to keep us in terr'r. I don't believe Benezir Bhutto would "misspeak" about Bin Laden being DEAD.

Ah the terror card, could we really have an election without it? The GOP knows its chances are in the crapper. Bush assumes that if he and Rove use red herrings to distract the public, they can pull more crap under the table before the media, Obamma or the public can respond. Folks, When it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, its a duck, and in this case, its a big assed duck. Can anyone say RED Herring? Or a CARP? Also, if that is really Bin ladin, I am aunt Jemima. For a guy who supposedly is on dialysis, he looks a bit too healthy. have you seen many dialysys patients? Hello. Bush, you are so transparent.
