Yesterday I came across a slightly mysterious website -- a collection of Polaroids, one per day, from March 31, 1979 through October 25, 1997. There's no author listed, no contact info, and no other indication as to where these came from. So, naturally, I started looking through the photos. I was stunned by what I found.

In 1979 the photos start casually, with pictures of friends, picnics, dinners, and so on. Here's an example from April 23, 1979 (I believe the photographer of the series is the man in the left foreground in this picture)...

I heard about this a number of years ago from friends, (probably at the time of the exhibition) but didn't know his name and couldn't ever find a site.
I look forward to seeing Jamie's pictures when the site is back up.
Thank-you all for reminding me that every day is a picture in time.
Too bittersweet for words, my heart aches...

I am absolutely moved to tears over this. Poignant, heart-breaking, and deeply profound. To chronicle one's life in such way...restores my faith in the human condition.

Thank you Hugh Crawford and Betsy Reid, and especially Jamie Livingston for reminding us that EVERY life is valuable and has a story to tell.
