Progressive Media:

CQ's Presidential Support studies try to determine how often a legislator votes in line with the President's position:

CQ tries to determine what the president personally, as distinct from other administration officials, does and does not want in the way of legislative action. This is done by analyzing his messages to Congress, news conference remarks and other public statements and documents.

So, these studies only track votes when the President has an explicit, stated opinion on a bill. According to CQ, Senator John McCain has voted with President Bush 100% of the time in 2008 and 95% of the time in 2007:

How could this be? Holding the Double Talk Express accountable? When the vote was with, it was really against, but for the people and the good. He is against the wrong and for the the good. So you can count on Big John to "do the right thing" and when he doesn't, you will know that he had a deeper understanding on the right that was not reflected in the vote.

hey GOP--how's Mc Bush looking now?

Still liking a depressed economy and a never-ending war that's costing us our soc security, kids' social security, pensions, healthcare, cleaner environment. not to mention $4.00 a gallon gas?

Still liking it?
Still like having your pockets picked blind right in front of ya?

Cling to those "no surrender" Mac comments-or guns or religion..
cause you sure won't have any $$ left over after.

The GOP keep saying McCain is his own man,so why does it seems he's joined at the hip with Bush. Like Mit Romney said McSame if he wins would only change seats with Bush and pick up where Bush left off.

More good news for the Republicians
KY-Sen: For those who missed it earlier, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is, according to Rasmussen, in serious danger of "getting Daschled".

Rasmussen has released a poll showing McConnell's Democratic opponent, Bruce Lunsford, beating Kentucky's senior Senator and the Republicans' dear Leader. And Lunsford doesn't enjoy a slim lead, either; he's ahead by five points, 49% to 44%

Blind loyalty and blatant sycophancy are what it takes to get ahead in the GOP!!

It is also, apparently expected and even required of Democrats within the DLC.

Remind me again,... how is it that McCain has managed to spin himself as some sort of Anti-Bush political maverick?

Oh,... never mind,... silly me,... It's 'cause the media want us to think he is a maverick,.... and not some standard bearer for the status quo.

Hard to run away from that record and these days, you can't hide it behind closed doors either.

John McCain,
You are the ultimate in lame.
I say this not to defame.
I say it to put another name than McCain on your presidential campaign.

A lame, McCain campaign, gives me a pain that is sustained as long as he remains an option.
John McCain represents a grizzled war-veteran, and a self-styled maverick -- prone to flip-floppin’
His straight-talk express is worthy of stoppin -- before it jumps the rail of truth again; and causes a train wreck that kills more American women and men.

100 years in Iraq

Kids want their mommies and their daddies back

People want their brothers and sisters home

Back here on the land where the buffalo no longer roams

Daughters and sons sent on endless missions

The parents nervously wait here in America hoping and wishin

Lame McCain, just more of the same old tired game; really Bush by another name.
As I said, it is not my intent to defame, but I am also not in the habit of confusing a man’s military service with a distorted presidential right or claim

Are you?
