Warren Jeffs Kissing And Cuddling Underage Brides Pictures Introduced As Evidence (PHOTOS)

SAN ANGELO, Texas -- Shocking new photographs show polygamist sect leader Warren Jeffs holding and kissing two different young girls in wedding-like photos. [scroll for more]

The images, dated July 2006 and January 2005, were entered into evidence last Friday by the defense in the custody battle over a 1-week-old baby, the Deseret News reported. The case was sparked by an April 3 raid of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints compound in Eldorado, Texas.

In one set of photos Jeffs appears with a girl named girl named Loretta under the label of "First Anniversary" with a date of Jan. 26, 2005. The second set show him and a girl named Merrianne and are dated July 27, 2006.

The Texas Child Protective Services lawyers would not reveal how they obtained the photos, but are using them to allege the culture at the compound is abusive, and forces young girls to become child brides, the Deseret News reported.

FOX News' Policy is Not to Identify Possible Underage Victims of Sexual Crimes.

Dan Jessop, the father of the baby at the center of this particular case, told reporters on Friday the photos are "shocking."

"You see far worse, immoral, disgusting, gross things than a girl kissing a man in the streets of your own community," said Jessop, according to the newspaper. "And you and I don't know if the state of Texas fabricated that."

So the abuse of children is insignificant as long as you look at other issues in the big picture? This isn't about your rights or Bush's faults, or pointing fingers at anonymous bloggers. It's caring what happens to a few hundered kids in a sad situation. But if you sleep better at night knowing your rights are protected by ignoring theirs I guess that's your business.

If we really gave a sh*t about children's rights we'd be in the streets over hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of children without healthcare. Hunger will become a problem soon, and we won't do anything about that either.

Your response is an excellent case study why the irrational trumphs the rational. I never said that child abuse is insignificant. I never said that my rights should be protected by ignoring there's. It's not an either/or situation.

If you really think about how to protect children without destroying the family, you're a genius. When do rights of the family stop and the state begin? It is not an easy question but should be determined on major issues and extremely limited situations.

Emotions always rule over reason, and those who offer reason for emotional issues are always villified as defending the indefensible.

...I said on a different post about this story, that it seems to me that children in America have the least protections of ANY GROUP, under the law...

...it is all fine and dandy for people to talk about civil liberties, how people should have freedom of religion, how these children were taken away from their families illegaly, etc...

...however, what impact do pictures like these, of a child OBVIOUSLY being ABUSED, have on you?...

...this child is completely HELPLESS and DEFENSELESS in protecting herself against the adults to whom her care has been entrusted; in this case her parents, this priest, etc...

...WHO SHOULD PROTECT THESE CHILDREN???...

Something not mentioned and perhaps pales in comparison to his treatment of humans, is Warren Jeffs animal abuse.

On 48 Hours last night, one of the men interviewed spoke of when Jeffs decided all dogs are "evil" and had all the pets destroyed.

In Carolyn Jessop's book, Escape, she writes of Jeffs calling the children together on numerous occasions and torturing animals to death to show them that man has dominion over other living creatures.

I will never get the mental picture out of my mind when she wrote of a pig screaming as it's heart was ripped out.

This self-professed prophet is rather the devil incarnate.
