LOS ANGELES — Gary Dourdan won't do time. The "CSI" co-star pleaded guilty to two of three counts of felony drug possession Wednesday but will not face prison following his drug arrest outside of Palm Springs last month, according to his lawyer. Dourdan could have served up to three years and eight months behind bars.

"Once Gary completes 30 hours of a diversion program, his case will be entirely dismissed," lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley told The Associated Press in an e-mail. "There is no jail time involved."

The 41-year-old actor was arrested after police found him asleep in his car outside of Palm Springs on April 28. He was allegedly parked on the wrong side of the street with the car's interior light on. Dourdan was charged with felony possession of heroin, cocaine and ecstasy.

Dourdan has played crime scene investigator Warrick Brown on CBS' "CSI" since 2000. The character was recently shot and killed during the eighth season finale.

Our prison system is completed outdated , barbaric and going to hell in a hand basket. Locking him up will do nothing. I hope he gets the help he needs and gets back on track. Hopefully, he will heed this very generous warning he got from the judge.

How sweet.

Rich and famous? No harm - no foul.

Ghetto resident? Maybe 3-5 years. No parole.

America - ya gotta love the 'justice' system. That is, if you have enough money to take advantage of it.

Hm. At least this time there isn't an army of white people shouting, "He did it, we know he did it!" 10 years from now, if there's a special on Fox, just don't tell me about it.

sick man. needs to get TREATMENT. needs to know people in recovery understand. been there, done that.
Recovery is a good road. Looks pathetic in picture. Pathetic, Defeated and Broken. Look in his eyes.

Unfortunately, this doesn't always mean an addict is ready for recovery. Where ever there's a bottom, there's a trap door. Jails, Institutions, Death.
No thanks!
c'mon dude...recover! Join the Road to Recovery and Celebrate Life! One day at a time!

Two systems of justice

Disgustingly over-submissive constituency

Why do judges hate America?

the whole entertainment pages shows two black faces, an enfant and a drugged out black man. Are there no fashionable black women, no new faces? No new shows? We wonder why the prison industry flourishes? We wonder why so many Americans think a person of color cannot be a credible President? Images count and neither this liberal opinion page or MSM thinks it is necessary to show any positive images of people of color on a regular basis.

You can pretty much find him as the cashier at your local LA Hospice though. Except sometimes these rich dudes slip throught the cracks. It's all a conspiracy.

Wow. Did you see the Robert Redford Independent Australian Film too? I loved it.

The entire town was routing for this guy, and then he couldn't read or write and the army had its limits. Too cool. Yet, eerrily upsetting.

Gary: According to Robin Williams, you're making too much money.

You've been fired. Problem solved.

Hopefully you'll follow Robert Downey's recent behavior and get your act together and cleaned up and not his early behavior by doing it again, and again.

This is a wake-up call. WAKE UP!

Good for him. He's an adult and should be able to put whatever he wants in his body without big mummy government budding in.
