NBA Playoffs 2008: Celtics First Road Win, Lakers Win Again, Playoffs Disappear From Chinese TV

The Los Angeles Lakers have won another game and are looking very formidable in the 2008 NBA playoffs:

SPN called Game Four the Spurs' "Last Stand". It very well may have been, as the Lakers are heading back home one win away from returning to the NBA Finals.

San Antonio hopes they can right the ship as they face elimination now that Los Angeles has handed them their first home playoff loss this year.

Los Angeles jumped out to an early 22-8 lead and never looked back. The Spurs fought back, closing the gap to two, as they pulled back to a 81-79 deficit in the fourth quarter. The Lakers negated that comeback, however, by scoring a quick eight straight points.

The Boston Celtics are also looking very strong as Kevin Garnett leads his team to their first road win in the 2008 NBA playoffs:

The road to the NBA Finals just got considerably easier for the Boston Celtics.

Kevin Garnett had 22 points, 13 rebounds and six assists Saturday night as the Celtics won on the road for the first time in the post- season with a 94-80 victory over the Detroit Pistons in Game Three of the Eastern Conference finals.

"Tonight we took care of business," Garnett said. "It's always good to win on the road."

Meanwhile, the AP reports that the NBA playoffs have mysteriously disappeared from Chinese television:

NBA playoff games have mysteriously disappeared from Chinese television...

... "We have followed orders and stopped the NBA broadcast," Jiang Heping, director for CCTV's sport channel, said in Wednesday editions of the Shanghai-based Oriental Sports Daily. "Since the May 12 earthquake, we're careful about the way we broadcast the NBA and the content must match the whole atmosphere."

However, concerns about sports programming following the earthquake did not prevent CCTV's sports channel from showing women's soccer and highlights of track, women's basketball and French Open tennis.
