Report: Crist Circulating 'Make Out Tape' To Squash Gay Rumors

How interested is Florida Governor Charlie Crist in being John McCain's VP runningmate? So much so that veteran GOP dirty trickster Roger Stone -- who coordinated a few dirty stunts in support of Crist during the 2006 gubernatorial campaign -- is quietly peddling a so-called "Charlie Crist sex tape." That's what Stone called it during a telephone conversation. And no, it is not a tape of Crist having sex with a guy. In fact, it isn't even X-rated. The video was seemingly staged to kill the rumors that Crist is gay. Stone claims the tape -- which he discussed recently with Politics1, but didn't show to us ("I'm saving it for the national shows") -- "shows Charlie fooling around in a hotel elevator with his girlfriend ... They're making out." Adds Stone: "It was captured on a security camera in the elevator" last month. And Stone just conveniently happens to have a copy of the hotel's elevator surveillance tape, just when Crist's name is in play for the VP spot. Hmm. As for Crist's purported girlfriend -- presuming it is the same one he took as his date to the White House Correspondents Dinner in DC a few weeks ago -- she's still married (and not to Crist). Disclaimer: Always be skeptical of anything from Stone.

Gee, I hope he makes it. What better way to really bring down the Republican party? They've already shown their total lack of judgement. I know Bush has ruined it, but if the party was courageous enough to nominate someone who would change things, a centrist, he might have had a chance.

I personally don't care if Charlie Christ is gayer than springtime. I didn't vote for him here in Florida but it was because of his politics not his sexual prefrence ( which is innuendo and conjecture anyway). The problem Floridians have with him is that our state faces enormous problems and he was elected on the promise that he would find solutions to some of them. He hasn't. Now, he seems to have his eye on the Vicepresidency and, if nominated, will leave us in a mess. If he can't be depended upon to fulfill his obligations to the people of his state, how can he be trusted to fulfill his obligation as President in the event McCain should be incapicitated during his term of office. To those who champion his cause I would say "review his politics before making your decision" As to wether he is or isn't gay....tha­t's the least of the issues here. It is especially important that the vice presidential nominee be looked at carefully on the Republican side because (if elected) due to Mc Cains age it is possible that he/she could very well be the person in the big chair before the next election rolls back around.

Scuttlebutt here in Florida has been that he's gay... for decades now. I care a lot about our state and zero about his personal life. If he became VP, at least we'd get a new governor!
