The 24-Year-Old Celebrity With The Ravaged Skin - Amy Winehouse Visits Husband With Ragged Face

Not one for arriving on time to visit her husband in prison, Amy Winehouse today spent more than an hour in court supporting her husband who faces charges of assault and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

The troubled star sat in the front row of the public gallery as Snaresbrook Crown Court, east London, and smiled lovingly at Blake Fielder-Civil, who smiled back at her from the dock.

Winehouse wore a short blue spotted dress in a clear effort to look smart for her husband's trial, but the classy clothes failed to hide her alarmingly bad skin.

The singer's ragged appearance shocked onlookers as she arrived at court.

I can't believe you have these photos up. Have you never seen someone with Impetigo before? It is an infection caused by the bacteria Staphyloco­ccus aureus, and watching my brother suffer from it at a young age--it isn't something to be exploited and plastered all over the internet. It is the same when magazines point out the celebs with acne--you know what that does, it only makes the normal people out there who read the articles feel even more bad about their skin, which by the way they can't control. So please lay off Amy, what goes around comes around.

I am a fan of Amy Winehouse. It's just pathetic the way the press is interactin­g w/her destructiv­e behavior; I don't think at this point it serves any purpose. Everyone interested in her has been subjected to the gross pictures of her dermatolog­y problems. She is wealthy enough to get help for her skin; but who knows what is going on? I once had a room-mate in hospital. A young woman about 20. She had skin like Amy's. She had Hodgkin's Disease. Back then it was a highly fatal form of cancer. I just pray Amy gets the help she needs for whatever ails her..

She seemed to be on road to recovery when we saw her getting Grammy awards. She was humble and gracious to her small audiance of friends & family she preformed for. (a tape was sent to U.S. for viewing on awards show). She is a tremendous talent. Those of us who remember singers like Sarah Vaughn and Ella Fitzgerald know a voice like Amy's is rare and does not come often. Sadly, Dinah Washington­, Billy Holiday, Judy Garland, Janis Joplin, people w/similar talent to her did have very serious drug problems; some of them died as a result. If only Amy valued herself and realized the joy her music brings to her fans. I will pray for her, and continue to also pray the press leaves this stuff alone. It does not help anyone.
