The New York Times reports today on how John McCain has flipped his position on warrantless wiretapping to look very similar to George Bush's. Below are a couple paragraphs from the article that reflect how John McCain has flip-flopped toward Bush:

A top adviser to Senator John McCain says Mr. McCain believes that President Bush's program of wiretapping without warrants was lawful, a position that appears to bring him into closer alignment with the sweeping theories of executive authority pushed by the Bush administration legal team.

In a letter posted online by National Review this week, the adviser, Douglas Holtz-Eakin, said Mr. McCain believed that the Constitution gave Mr. Bush the power to authorize the National Security Agency to monitor Americans' international phone calls and e-mail without warrants, despite a 1978 federal statute that required court oversight of surveillance...

...But Mr. McCain had previously stopped short of endorsing the view that Mr. Bush's program of surveillance without warrants was lawful all along because a president's wartime powers can trump statutory limits.

Andrew C. McCarthy, a National Review columnist who has defended the administration's legal theories, wrote that Mr. Holtz-Eakin's statement "implicitly shows Senator McCain's thinking has changed as time has gone on and he has educated himself on this issue."

And Glenn Greenwald, a Salon columnist and critic of the Bush administration's legal claims, wrote that the statement was a "complete reversal" by Mr. McCain, accusing the candidate of seeking "to shore up the support of right-wing extremists."

Today, (Monday) Congressman Dennis Kucinich presented to the House of Representatives, 35 articles of impeachment against George W. Bush.

This is major news. Why in God's name, is this story not breaking news on all of the American news media outlets? Is it possible that America's news media has become as corrupted as this Administration?

The Bush Administration is criminally corrupt. The Congress (esp. the GOP) is generally corrupt & has often been complicit in the criminal activity of the Bush Administration. The Supreme Court is corrupt in that it will not address the criminal conduct of the Administration which has been instrumental in moving the Court to the Extremist Right. And the circle seems to be complete in that the corporate news media will not allow any input on the criminal activity of the Bush Administration or, indeed, corruption in the American government in general.

It is dark & shameful days being made in American history. At least we have one American patriot (Congressman Kucinich) who's willing to stand up for principle & US Constitutional Law. Go get em, Dennis!

Not surprising, don't forget, McShame also thinks you can rob a bank, as long as you pay for his vacation! (see> Keating 5) How many psychology exams has this man under gone, after being held as POW, for what, 5 years? How does he react if he hears a car back fire? What happens if someone drops a pen? And at 72, do you want McShame with his hand on 'the button'? The man switches positions, or forgets what his position was, just about daily. We should have an Barak Obama/Ron Paul ticket! We need to get rid of the life sucking Federal Reserve System out of OUR country!

We elected a mentally challenged president twice, and now a lot of people want to elect another one who is also mentally challenged.

Read some of what we've been dealing with the last seven years and weep. Do we really want to do this again? God help us.

We did NOT elect GWB twice.

First he was appointed by the Supremes, and then he simply stole it outright in Ohio and Florida with the help of his friend at Diebold.

King george jr is our worst ever unelected dictator.

Please do not assume facts not in evidence; in order to be "mentally challenged" he would need to possess something mental.

Is there any power that Bush and McCain do not think the Constitution gives the president? I guess the check and balance system is no longer necessary, because the Republicans believe they are above it.

You'd be surprised how many ways the President can bend the Constitution to do what he wants. Not the first time and won't be the last. Get use to it.

This is acually a fascist form of government, that tells it's citizens "We are a democracy" Am I right or wrong, Fort Knox is supposed to be audited EVERY YEAR, but hasn't been audited since the 50's? The, 'elected' leaders of this country swear to uphold the constitution and protect it from all threats, both foreign and domestic. Why can't they audit the gold in Fort Knox? Because there is no gold there any more? Was the gold stolen by the Federal Reserve and sent to Europe? Just about all of our exected officials can be tried for treason and perjury, am I right or wrong?

Truer words were never spoken!!!!! McCain has sold his soul to this administration but unfortunately, he has hooked his wagon to a pariah. No one needs to hear anything more about McCain's point of view other than he sucks it up to Bush, the guy he used to rake over the coals for the Bush malfeasance. Unfortunately, McCain in selling his soul to the devil, he has lost any any credibility he might have had as a maverick (and that was not much). Sad to observe this guy just give his very soul away thinking he could win on a continuation of the terrible record of Bush. A Bush 3 presidency we definitely do not need!!!

Can I say LOUDLY: McCain graduated #894 out of 898 at the Naval Academy..terrible, mean student throughout his primary grades also. Why does America like to elect dumb people, compromised people to high office and then complain about them lying, cheating and stealing the Treasury for their 'Buddies". McCain has more in common with Bush than you think. Keating, Charlie Black, Lobbyist driving the Bus. For your children and grandchildren's sake do the right thing! Let the press be impressed by the rich wife's barbeque at the ranch in Sedona...but we real people need to stay focused and make America the country that it can be.

http://www.conspiracyarchive.com/NWO/Federal_Reserve_McFadden.htm < This is info on Federal Reserve Bank, which Lord Rothschild is part of. He already endorsed his 'partner in crime' McShame. The info is from 1934! Same crime families involved. Now McShame can be their new puppet. You can also check out http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com 1st 4 minutes is only sound. If you watch the whole movie, you will watch it again, but with friends! Obama should concider Ron Paul for V.P. I'd also have Jesse Ventura as part of cabinet. We need REAL CHANGE.
