Pregnant Man: 4 Weeks Until Due Date, May Have More Babies (PHOTOS)

Thomas Beatie, the famous, transgendered 'pregnant man', is back in the news. After first announcing that he was, well, pregnant, he then caused quite a stir by going on Oprah and giving details about the impending birth, as well as informing everyone that he has intercourse with his wife.

Now, with only four weeks until he's due to give birth, he has given an interview to the British paper News of the World, in which he discusses his excitement about seeing his baby's face for the first time, reveals his previous life as a Hawaiian beauty queen, and more:

"I feel fantastic," he said. "I cannot wait to see my baby's face."

In a tender and intimate moment, Thomas shares a cuddle with wife Nancy--before telling the News of the World of his secret hopes for the future.

With four weeks to go, he sensationally reveals the couple are ready to have MORE BABIES after the birth of their daughter...

...We have her nursery ready and her diapers are lined up in her bedroom. Everything is ready to go.

"We have even picked a name which we both love--although we're waiting until she is born before we tell anyone. All the people who really know us and love us, our friends and family, have been incredibly supportive...

He was overjoyed when he saw the first pictures of his baby:

"To be able to see her face, her lips, her body made all the abuse we have endured worthwhile.

What two (or more) consenting adults choose to do in private is their own business - unless and until they start bringing innocent children into the equation. This creature is not a man. SHE can call herself whatever SHE wants, but men don't have female reproductive system. This is a mutilated lesbian with so many sexuality issues that she butchered herself to avoid admitting that she wants to have sex with other women. Now she's forcing an innocent fetus to be part of her freak show. Imagine the miserable life this child will have being known from the moment of its birth as the by-product of a woman's selfish, selfish, selfish desire to "have it all." Shame on her. I am a gay man, and I deeply resent the grotesque insinuation that the "transgendered" are part of the gay, lesbian, and bisexual community. If I mutiliate myself and have my penis surginally shaped into a pseudo-vagina, I can legally marry another man in all 50 states. Gays and lesbians who choose to be true to themselves and retain their original, God-given state are out of luck in most of this country at present. But those who internalize their homophobia and have themselves sliced-and-diced can be regarded as "normal" and enjoy all the privileges afforded to straight people.

It's nice that you know THE simple reason that another human being would opt for surgery to change their gender. Who knew it was such a basic thing - gay self loathing internalised?
It must be satisfying to be able to divine and dismiss the motivations of every transsexual. Good for you.

Your point about marriage is almost a fair one, but you give in to broad-brush thinking and write off untold numbers of people because you feel hard done by.

In the last sentence you claim that trangendered people are gay people "who internalize their homophobia and have themselves sliced-and-diced".

Which is it?
Or are you saying the gender-reassigned ARE gay, but they're not part of 'the community'.

Sorry, this is not a miracle from the perspective that the press wants to tell it. All babies are miracles.

This is not a pregnant man. Thisis a woman and there is no amount of spin or facial/underarm hair/abscence of breast and photos that will change that. Men do not have reproductive organs and can not becaome pregnant or give birth. we are talking about someone wanting the spotlight here.

I see all this news coverage in the last decade or so about "miracle babies" born to infertile or gay couples. Women having 6,7,8 babies due to fertility drugs. Gay or transgendered couples being able to have one partner inseminated so that they can have a baby even without there being a typical female/male partnership.

I just wish the thousands, if not MILLIONS, of adoptable children out there in the world got as much press as these "miracle babies." There are kids who ALREADY need parents. If it weren't for Brad and Angelina, adoption would never be covered in the media at all.

Instead of trying to use every scientific method available to have a "miracle baby," I wish more people would decide to be "miracle parents." It's not like I think fertility treatment or those who employ it are bad, I just wish the alternative (adoption) received as much press coverage as the always increasing abilities of fertility specialists. I myself am "reproductively challenged." Due to a childhood illness, it is possible but not likely that my husband and I will be able to conceive. i don't think this means I need to spend years of hormone treatment to fight my body's natural inclinations to bring a baby into existence, it means that my children are already here, on earth, looking desperately for their mother to bring them home. And I intend to find them.

this is a women who identifys as a male...she is only making a big deal about it for possible money.. no big whoop. I think this is a neat story but I agree with those who say this isn't a miracle.

This individual was born a woman and although living as a man, is not defying any odds or performing a miraculous feat. At the end of the day, an individual born as a woman is having a baby, where's the story?
