Mccain Denials

Politico:

John McCain told Newsweek that he did not deliver a portion from the prepared text of his speech last Tuesday chiding the media for not giving Hillary Clinton her due. But video from McCain's address shows him giving the line as written.

"The media often overlooked how compassionately she spoke to the concerns and dreams of millions of Americans," McCain said in a nationally-broadcast speech in Kenner, Lousiana. "And she deserves a lot more appreciation than she sometime received."

Have you ever noticed how, when McC is confronted with something that he said or did in the past his immediate reaction is to deny it? Doesn't matter what it is, he denies it as an almost automatic reaction. What, is he such a stranger to the truth that he knows that whatever he said or did in the past is somehow a lie that must be denied today?

Someone should tell him about those big tubes that carry stuff (like recordings) over that internet thingy and make it possible to find almost anything he has said in the past. It's kind of like that instant film that Polaroid makes! (Did make, John, they finally quit -something about a new digital age).

Poor Mc Gaffeny, he will have worn out a dozen petards and still be hoisting before this campaign is over.

Thank God for YouTube!! This man can't remember what he said or did an hour after saying it. Man, if this clown is elected POTUS...it's gonna be some scary days ahead! "I didn't authorize the invasion of that country...or...did I?

Did anyone else notice that it sounded very familiar? Seems not too long ago, Bill Clinton did exactly the same thing only it was a comment from the night before that he denied the next morning.

I think this is what you call a senior moment. The guy has become as bad as Bush. He can't open his mouth without stepping in it. There is no way he will make it to November looking like anything remotely resembling a president. It would be like seeing Ronnie running again, only the Ronnie who was already sliding from alzheimers half-way through his second term. One gets the feeling that the only reason McCain is the candidate is that he decided to start sucking up to Bush.

And John--Might be time to lose the "My friends..." line you tack onto so many of your sentences. Sounds stupid and not very believable.

WOW ........ Is this a Hillary/Bosnia like moment?

I guess he will now say that he did not CHEAT on his 1st wife, and he did not call his current wife a C***.

What's sad is that this IS NOT and age issue ............. IT'S JUST McCAIN TELLING HIS USUAL LIES.

Will you people quit giving alzheimers sufferers a bad name? McCain just want to be on every side of the issues and and he is unable to keep up with his lies is all.

LOL, sometimes I don't know if it's Repukes ability to never tell the truth, or just simply old age.

Folks, it's probably NOT alzheimers.

It's that he's old-school. Nearly nothing is older than JM. He learned to campaign in an era that didn't have video tape, much less YouTube. He has no concept that we - ALL OF US - can now see what he said yesterday, last week, three years ago, nearly at any time we wish!

He's used to campaigning in a way in which you can tell anyone anything in one room and then when you get in front of a different audience, pretend you didn't say whatever to the previous group. It's how it used to be done. It's how he still thinks it's done. He's not living in this century - not even in the last quarter of the PREVIOUS century!

RTIII, you hit the nail on the head!

I know the phrase "out of touch" has been used alot during this campaign season, but, seriously, McCain is "Out of Touch" with the 21st Century!

Wow....I must say, RTIII, you hit thee nail on the head!!! =)

OK, I know the phrase "out of touch" has been used alot during this campaign season, but, seriously, "J. InSane" is "Out of Touch" with the 21st Century! While he's busy trying to remember what he said (or lie about what he said), millions of people around the world have watched the clip of him, have emailed it to their friends, and then have edited it for their own continued laughs! =)

A serial liar or simply out of his mind?
Either one should disqualify him from office.

Boy, is it just me, or can this post be used repeatedly over the last 8 years?

This just gets better and better. On a list of a (baker's) dozen reasons why McCain won't win, #7:

7. The Not So Straight-talk Factor: McCain has built his reputation on being a man of principle. This has two features: he believes in something and he sticks with what he believes in. McCain has recently begun to backpedal on principles and commitments. He is vulnerable to being viewed as a flip-flopper, if not dishonest, which will undermine his hitherto greatest strength.

And McCain's problems now seem to extend to what he can't remember or, perhaps I should say, doesn't want to remember.

I'm just saying......McHuh on a stage, in a town hall meeting etc. with Obama.......

Yeah, I'll watch that.
Bye bye Maverick......he feels the need, the need to nap!

Old enough to know that I forget alot and I'm much younger than Dr. Strangelove, with his lifetime of experience!
