Mccainscarf

This video appears to be from at least six weeks ago, but no one has really commented on it. Do we want a commander-in-chief who can't use a computer without assistance?

McCain not using computers is like a Housekeeper that says "Sorry, no floors"

This is a HUGE deal. We live in a time where we have an energy crisis that can be solved with TECHNOLOGY. More importantly, it is a HUGE deal for net neutrality. Why would McCain give a crap about protecting net neutrality?

And if you don't know, net neutrality is what prevents the ISPs from sectioning off the internet like TV stations. Any non-corporate giant website that didn't want to pay the ISP wouldn't get any bandwidth and would have to shut down. The ISPs want this to happen. They are lobbying for it to happen. That way they can charge the user and the big companies. At the same time, they will kill independent websites.

I thought the video was cute. =D I certainly don't want McCain to win, but IMHO, this isn't such a big deal. My mom can't use a computer either and that fact in no way impugns her judgment. On the other hand, what if he has to deal with signing some sort of internet-related legislation? Hmmm...

My not wanting McCain as President has noththing to do with his inability to run a computer. It is his slick change from his slick maverick stance to his "every thing Bush had done, is doing, and will ever do is wonnerful and I'm gonnna follow right in his footsteps so I can suck it up to him.'".

SOMEHOW...

I would have guessed that. It's so...the century before the last century. (But then again it may just be because his arms are too short to reach the keyboard...)

Not a McCain supporter by any stretch of the imagination, but is this a) really surprising, and b) really that important?

A) no B) yes. If you are not clued into personal computing by this time, there is a serious resistance to change or defecit in intellect. Either way, it should concern us.

"At least he could land a fighter on a pitching flight deck at night. I would like to see some of his detractors do that. How about it arnchair warriors? He also could fly into a flak filled sky and put a bomb on target, not too bad either."
One of his detractors is General Wesley Clark who recently said that McCain was only a Captain at retirement, and officers of that grade don't really make the kinds of leadership life and death decisions that he [McCain] is claiming for himself. (paraphrase). I think the General is qualified as more than an armchair warrior. Before you respond, check out his bio. And yes, McCain did graduate even lower in his class than G.W. Bush...how disgraceful.

He landed most of them he missed a couple times.
06:26 PM on 06/14/2008
the last syl. of yo name says it all, madison.

don't you understand that feats of carrier landings have absolutely nothing to do with knowing how to govern and where to find and nurture America's interests. he is interested in war making and the items needed for that. he never learned, through all his womanizing, flipflopping, and confusion, to take the pulse of the country, to care about poor people, and to stop pleasing the rich, like his lovely bride Cindarella.

WTF?! I'm really laughing out loud and at the same time I'm about to crap my pants in fear of McNumbnutts actually landing in the Presidency. This is mind boggling. Completely and utterly unacceptable. This guy shouldn't be allowed any where near the Whitehouse. What is with the republican party and unbelievably the people that vote for them? I would love the answer to that mystery. When I heard what McClueless said sparks were shooting out of my ears and the top of my head started smoking.

The Democrats should take this little jewel and run it over and over and over on the electric talking box with the lighted window that shows pictures.

I knew it!! I've said for a long time, that one simple question in a presidential debate: Senator, what is your log-in screen name for your email? - should scuttle his chances. Then again, if my wife were a 300 million a year beer baronness, and our major decision each night was at which of our eight homes we should sleep, I'm not sure I'd have bothered to learn to use a computer either!

It shows a lack of intellectual curiosity. My grandmother is older than him and use a freaking computers. In fact she emails me too much. lol, Don't think shes rolled up on Huffpo yet or she'd be going on and on about the crap Barack's has to take.

I have another take. He is fully aware of how to use computers and is an expert in them. This is all part of his cover. What cover you ask? BSG fans will appreciate the truth here.

All of us little people are constantly reminded of how we MUST be competitive in this Global Market... and our fearless leader could be outsourced immediately upon taking office, due to his lack of preparedness and inability to learn new trix.

We have just endured (barely), 8 years under the presidency of what appears to be at best, a semi literate, non-newspaper reading, "Goin with my gut", recovering alcoholic, who embarasses both himself and this country, everytime he stumbles onto the world stage. It's agonizing to watch and listen to this moron, skirting disaster with every utterance. And now the Republicans present for our consideration, a 71 year old, 'straight' (?) talking, right wing hawk, who refers to his wife in crude and graphic epithets, was involved in one of the more high profile political/banking scandals of the last century, appears to think he is the re-incarnation of 'Patton' and who we now learn, is computer illiterate. I hope voters come to their senses so that we won't have to see a repeat of the headline that appeared in 'The Guardian' newspaper the day after the last election. Under a photo of Bush, it said simply: "How can 200 million People Be So Dumb?" Beats me.
01:26 PM on 06/14/2008
Thank you for the sincerity here, Dannydel! On all counts the IQ of this nation is going down, and both Bush and McCain are prime examples of that. What is their ticket? How do they get to where they got I wonder?

Let's see...doesn't know beans about the economy, doesn't understand the Constitution, almost flunked out of Annapolis (would have except for the fact that his father was an admiral at the time), and hasn't taken the time to learn what most 6 year olds know about 21 century technology. He sounds like the guy to take over for Bush.
