Meghan McCain To Write Children's Book

NEW YORK — Meghan McCain, daughter of the Republican Party's presumptive presidential nominee, is working on a picture book about her father, Sen. John McCain.

Meghan McCain's children's story, currently untitled, will be published by Simon & Schuster the first week of September, around the time of the Republican national convention.

"I am truly excited about the opportunity to write a children's book about my father, who is not only a fantastic dad, but also a great American," McCain, known for her blog, McCain Blogette, , said in a statement issued Wednesday by her publisher. http://www.mccainblogette.com

"This book will offer children the unique opportunity to see the character building events that happened over his lifetime, experiences that led up to his current bid to become the future president of the United States."

Financial terms for the book were not disclosed. Simon & Schuster said that a portion of its net proceeds would be donated to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, which helps wounded veterans and military personnel. Meghan McCain has no current plans to make a similar contribution, according to Simon & Schuster spokesman Paul Crichton.

John McCain's wife, Cindy McCain, had agreed earlier this year to write a memoir for Penguin Group (USA), but she changed her mind, citing time limitations, and the deal was canceled.

McCain's adopted black daughter, Bridget, is now 16 years old, but we never see her photo anywhere. Nor is she ever seen on TV with her dad or mom.
Also, she's never pictured or mentioned on Meghan McCain's famous online "blogette.­"
Are they ashamed of this adopted daughter because she's black? Do they feel she's a hindrance to Republicans.
Ironically, she was used to smear McCain in 2000, when the "swiftboaters" claimed she was McCain's illegitimate daughter.

Bridget is not black. Her parents are protecting her privacy, she is a teenager who does not need to be tore up by the media or Obamas always "kind-hearted" supporters.

OK, I am now officially fed up with people who are already famous using their fame to take shortcuts to opportunities they have not earned. There are so many talented writers in America. Who needs a book by John McCain's spawn? After she finishes having someone write that book for her, maybe she can join Billy Bob Thornton's crappy rock band. Or sing backup for Scarlett Johannson. Or maybe she should just go on a book-signing tour with Madonna. No wonder this country is so cynical. Hard work and talent will get you nowhere. But if you're famous for flashing your butt on YouTube you can get a film deal. And if you popped out of a famous uterus, you must be a genius!
