The National Enquirer Reports Jamie Lynn Spears gave birth:
Jamie Lynn Spears has given birth to a girl, the NATIONAL ENQUIRER has learned exclusively!

Jamie Lynn has entered Mississippi Southwest Regional Medical Center in McComb, Ms at 4 a.m. today and delivered via C-section at approximately 8:30 a.m. (CST) The baby weighed 6 pounds, 10 ounces. The father is Casey Aldridge.

This might be the best thing to happen to this girl. When my daughter chose to get pregnant, live with her boyfriend before marriage, I was devistated. Mind you, this kid was 19, graduated from highschool and already in her second year of college. The thing is this, it forced her to mature, grow up and face adulthood, not live in this fantasy world. I suspect the same will happen to Jaime Lynn as well.
Nothing prepares you for adulthood like parenthood. Hello. The financial realities set in, as do the daily babycare duties. Trust me, when you have had your fill(no pun intended) of diapers, baby vomit, crying day and night, the last thing you want is to go do it all over again so soon. Dont' get me wrong, babies are wonderful. But before we attack this girl, lets remember what a tough road she has ahead of her, which she will discover soon enough. Attacking her serves no purpose, is mean. Folks, we dont have to like what happened to her, agree to it, its her life. Let her enjoy her new baby, mommyhood, as she will get that dose of reality soon enough.

Thank God your sister Brtiney made Federline sign a prenup before marriage, or in addition to the milions of dollars she has spent regarding the child custody case, she would have lost half of her fortune to Federline. As it is he's been using your own sister's money against her ((although I will admit Britney needed help and I'm glad she' s getting it, but who drove her over the edge?).

I don't know what Jamie Lynn's earning capacity is or what assets (even if they accrue as a result of investments) need protection, but I read that her mother in particular has begged Jamie to get a prenup.

Apparently the couple has purchased a home together in Louisiana and since he's written about as an un-wealthy person, how much of his own money actually contributed to the purchase of the home? The home purchase is a perfect example of Jamie Lynn's monies being taken or used against her in the event the couple separate (whether they are married or not), because if both their names are listed as owners of the home (despite Jamie Lynn paying for the majority if not all of the purchase), then upon their separation Jamie Lynn is out of 50% of her purchase.

I'm sure her financial situation is much more complicated than that, but what wealth she has should be protected as she is only 17 years old, and who knows if she will ever make as much money as she previously had ever again.

Smart move Jamie. Best move an American woman can make is have your children young while you are strong and healthy. By the time you're 40, your kids are in college and you can enjoy life. are you saying women can't be strong and healthy at 30? are you encouraging teens to have kids that the majority of them can't afford to care for? it isn't a liberal or conservative idea, women have children later because they want to do something more than be baby factories. they want to gain life experience first, strike out on their own, maybe travel, finish college, get a job... no woman is coerced into waiting to have children. that is a personal choice, as is how you give birth or whether you will at all.

I'm all for women having children at any age, but the younger the better. It's been shown that medical costs are much less the younger the mother (I'm not talking about 12 year olds for the morons out there).

I haven't addressed this yet but it's also much better for the country. Far cheaper to give assistance to young mothers then to pay for illegal immigrants to come here and rattle the fabric of society with their host of problems. It's time for Americans to stand up, rebuild our country from the inside out and quit relying on an endless stream of immigrants and foreigners to solve our problems, including the most important problem, the demographic challenge.

Don't you think a 17 year old girl needs to actually get an education before she becomes a mother? How many teen mothers have the kind of money Spears does? Those young girls will have to support themselves and their children one day. Wouldn't it be nice if they at least finished high school? Are you aware that most teen mothers will live in poverty their whole lives? Do you really think their kids are ever going to go to college?
And, not to be old-fashioned, but don't you think it's better for children who are born to parents who, if not married, are at least in a committed relationship that has lasted more than a year?

Hello, not all teen mothers stay in poverty. That is a lie. Most go back to school, get a decent job to suport thier families. There are more opportunities now for unwed mothers than there use to be. Back in the 50's, if this happened to you, parents threw you into a halfway house and hid you in a convent. This is the year 2008. Teens are offered job training, the chance to finish highschool in alternative settings. Its up to them to follow through. And youa re old fashioned and need to understand marriage isn'tthe end all and be all for all women. Couples who end up living together, raise kids who are just as happy, end up just as educated, as married couples who fight constantly, or who cheat on the other. You dont' have to like how this happened. But it did. Quit being such a judgmental ninny.

When media goes ga ga over Jamie lynn spears, it sends a wrong message to the teenage girls in the country. they think, "wow!! its so cool. Jamie lynn spears can have her music/acting career going, and still be a mom".

what happens in reality is that majority of those teenage moms would be ending up pouring coffee, working at the drive thru, dancing at the poles for the next 20 years.

I didnt know of this story until a local radio talk show host picked it up. he was saying its the school districts fault that these girls were not expelled so as to send a message to the rest of the girls that this is not acceptable behaviour. the guys who impregnated these girls are equally to blame.

later on he said this "but there is a silver lining in everything. if these girls and guys who impregnate them dont do what they are doing, who is going to mow the lawn, pour the coffee, deliver the news paper, bring the drinks, take orders at a drive thru.". we would have to do all that ourselves.
