Funny thing, about Paul Newman . . .

He is old enough to be my dad, and yet, I have been so attracted to him through the years. And to be attractive means - Not just his sexy looks (there are a lot of those out there) but also great personality, values and ethics.

That said . . . he is still one fine, sexy looking hunk for his age - the kind of beauty that he has, is ageless!

I hope that God did not throw away the mold! Thin or not, he’s still a hunk!

"... frail-looking ..."

He's 83 years old, for God's sake!

Healthy or ill - people can look like that by that age! With all the lifts and injections going on, have people forgotten that?

Either way - leave him alone. The photogs and the publications buying those photos have no shame.

Just back off - and give him some space . . .

He has earned this honor from all of you - give him the respect he is due.

So, if he doesn't want to go to Switzerland or anywhere else to heal - he has chosen the place he loves the most - New York City - can you blame him for wanting wander out and enjoy it now and then?

For those who snap the pictures - SHAME ON YOU! For those who buy the photos - MORE SHAME ON YOU! If you stop buying - they will stop snapping! Give him a break and let him enjoy his town!

Again the photogs should let him be in peace. whether he's sick and dying or just a guy who is older he does deserve his privacy and space so he can enjoy what tiem he has. He's a good man who has helped so many and has shared his talents with us for many years so let him be.

People lose weight when they are sick. This is not necessarily a bad thing. The body should concentrate on healing, not digesting big meals. After the healing, then the rebuilding. I wish him all the luck in the world.

The only legitimate and understandable reason for the public to want to see or speak to Paul Newman at this point would be simply to thank the man for his wonderful contribution to the arts and to organic food movement. Anything else (trying to snap photos to sell to tabloids) IS ghoulish and disrespectful.

How many Hollywood couples have comported themselves with HALF as much dignity as Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward? They deserve to be given a respectful distance. If you must, adore from afar, fans.

I think he still looks good. He has great dignity and class. I hope I look that good when I'm 83.

JFC! That fat bastardo doorman would make anyone standing next to him appear gaunt!

Flip the photo and they'd look like the number 10!

That dude's a doorman because he can't fit INTO the building to do any other job!

Try a freakin salad!

I suggest he goes to Switzerland for a while. Death and illness just never sat right with the all adoring youth crowd in America.

I suppose now there will be a 24 death watch outside his homes. How sad. Leave the man alone.

The reporters that go after sick people like that are truly a bunch of sickos. He retired a long time ago. Give him a break. Shame on the press. Let him enjoy what time he has left.

I think the idea of "class" died around 1963. What Newman has is style and lots of it. Not many like him left.

I wish the best for Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward.

This must be a very difficult for the family so let's not stalk, speculate or prematurely bury him.

I would rather reflect on his honor, his compassion and the work in film.

I think I've been in love with Paul Newman since I was about 12 years old. How wonderful to learn that even with his great looks is an even greater soul.

Bless you for your contributions, Mr. Newman, I would think that your model has influenced the Pitts, Clooney's and Jolie's of today.
