Coldplay On 'The Daily Show' (VIDEO)

Coldplay appeared on "The Daily Show" Wednesday night. In between performing two songs from their #1 album Vivia la Vida, Chris Martin chatted with host Jon Stewart. Martin showed he had a sense of humor and said "we love the show" while Stewart remarked what a "jackass" he felt like wearing a suit.

Very positive uplifting band... Really great song writers and performers.

I'm watching them right now and I just don't get it. The band sounds ok, but what's his name has an extremely weak voice.

The only word that comes first to my mind is BORING.

But they really pulled in a huge crowd for the Today Show.

Not to mention when I think of Martin is Paltrow, who I also find to be boring.

Hey, the new Elvis Costello and the Imposters is great. Costello is back rockin' again and its about time.

What a fugging awful band. This poseur thinks he's Bono, which makes him, like, and double poseur. If you're going to ape somebody, make sure it's at least somebody good.

I know Coldplay have genuis in them. But hte new album doesn't show it. Perhaps to fnd their own way they should do what Radiohead did and rent a mansion, move in for a month and do nothing but record record record.

Is that meant to be sarcastic?­...because that's exactly what they did...appa­rently I'm the only one who thinks this album's a brilliant departure and is a far cry from anything U2's been able to come up with since the 80's and Radiohead.­..just suck.

Yes, they've tried to be Radiohead, and are now trying to be U2 as well, what with hiring Brian Eno and turning to a more guitar-driven sound. A great band is one that finds it's OWN sound.
