Hillary Clinton's former Campaign Chair Terry McAuliffe is insisting there's no bad blood between Bill Clinton and Barack Obama despite a report that Clinton said Obama can "kiss my ass." McAuliffe told CNN, "This man doesn't stay mad. He can get mad for 24 hours. It's his Irish ancestry." McAuliffe also said the Clinton and Obama would meet in the next few days. Read more below:

Sen. Barack Obama and former President Bill Clinton are expected to meet in the next few days, according to the chairman of Sen. Hillary Clinton's unsuccessful presidential bid.

Terry McAuliffe said the former president was angered by media reports suggesting he bore a grudge against Obama after the sometimes bruising primary campaign and did not plan to actively support Obama in the general election.

That's the best defense McAuliffe can come up with? Irish racism?

He could've defended him without going racist, why sock the Irish in the balls just for laughs?

Look closely at the picture, and you will see Obama putting a "KICK ME" sticker on Bill's back.

"Frankly, my dear, who gives a damn?" Senator Clinton was Senator Obama's rival. She has stepped up for her party and that is what matters. "Bill," since he has long wounded himself and others, never crossed the bridge into the 21st Century. My hope is he will focus on good works and attempt to conduct himself in a respectable manner, so we can one day once again refer to him as President Clinton. Until then, bye-bye Bill.

I think there are many reasons why BIll Clinton is so upset with Obama. First is that he seems to have an immense ego. Everyone has always said that Bill Clinton is the "smartest politician" in the world, some still are...He was out-smarted, out maneuvered, and beaten by a relatively unknown young senator. In New Hampshire and in South Carolina, he tried to "stick his finger into the eyes of his traditionally supportive backers while they were looking and they called him on it. He and Hillary have made committments based upon a Hillary win, now those committments cannot be kept, plus he may have to repay money for favors he cannot deliver. He has lost his position as leader of the Democratic Party and he is no longer in the limelight. I don't think Bill Clinton is a racist, we'll have to ask Vernon Jordan about that after BIll Clinton tried to implicate him in the Lewinsky scandal. We haven' t seen many pictures of them golfing lately. I think BIll and HIllary Clinton will go through the motions of "unity," but given any chance, they will still try to upset the Obama nomination, right up to the convention. Right now, they have no choice except to burn their candles at both ends. HIllary still has a career the Senate and she cannot withhhold her support from Obama. Should he lose, the party will hold her responsible. .

To forgive without requiring the other to change is not only self-destructive, but ensures certainly a dysfunctional relationship that will remain so by continually rewarding mistreatment. When Both of them need to go trough the process of ceasing to feel anger or indignation against the other person because of a perceived offense, difference or mistake, the desire to request a punishment or restitution is subject to a question of time and work out. Forgiveness may be considered simply in terms of the relationship between the forgiver and the person forgiven. In some contexts, the forgiveness may be granted without any expectation of compensation, and without any response on the part of the offender. In other terms, it may be necessary for the offender to offer some form of confession, avowal, apology, restitution, or just ask for forgiveness, in order for the wronged person to believe he as well is able to forgive. Sincerity is the virtue of speaking truly about oneself – So, may wisdom guide them trough the right thing to do. Let see how Bill will make peoples believe again and let’s encourage him for trying because Peoples too have feelings and need respect.

Apropos Unity Who left now... in order to redirect the United States on the right track?

Let us be fair. Bill did not have a good month. Hillary's defeat means he now won't be back in the White House. And he also lost his 16-year leadership of the Democratic party at the same time. The DNC headquarters has been moved from New York to Chicago by the new party leader Obama. Hillary still has her job but Bill is now unemployed. Wouldn't that make a guy mad?

But I wonder how Obama will be remembered after he looses the elections ! Not only he will be forgotten sooner than expected, but he will be harshly criticized for being a false promise, the real reason why the Dem. Party will lose the elections, what is more embarrasing?
At least many people remember Bill Clinton for many good reasons, Obama will be forgotten for the worst ones.

Well Carp, win or lose, the first African American to be nominated by a major party won't ever be forgotten. So far, it's looking very good for him. But should he lose, the historically drawn-out primary will undoubtedly be considered a factor in that loss. I am trying to phrase this as diplomatically as possible because what's done is done. Ted Kennedy will always be considered a factor in Carter's 1980 loss for having refused to stop his primary campaign.

Yes, there's no way Clinton and Obama will remain on the outs. Clinton was president for eight years and has a wealth of experience that Obama would be wise to call on, now and after the election. That, on the other hand, will give Clinton access, and access to a sitting president is gold. The two need each other, and not just for the campaign--and a good relationship between them will be good for the country, too.

Big story. They'll meet. Obama will compliment and fall all over Bill Clinton. Bill Clinton will help. Same old, same old.

Is this a slow news day?

We've all been getting riled over a rumor that Bill Clinton is mad. We all know that he gets mad. I get mad. That doesn't mean that we "are" mad now. Bill Clinton has been a loyal democrat all of his life. I think we might give him the benefit of the doubt that he still is until we hear him tell us that he isn't. Terry McAuliffe would probably say what was most helpful for the party. But others would say the opposite just to get news coverage. Let's wait and see what Bill says and what Barack says. Why make more trouble for our party than necessary. The republicans will do enough of that and we'd be smart to save our energy for fighting the real enemy. When democrats fight each other, it's like the Iraq war which has distracted us from the scene of the real war which is in Afghanistan against Al Quaeda. We're letting ourselves be distracted from the real war.

Basing any decision on what a bunch of Huffingtonposters say is such foolishness that I have every faith you're just sabre-rattling.

Remember issues? The Children's Defence Fund, Hillary's old organization, gives McCain a rating of something like ZERO on children's issues. McCain, who mocked Hillary's child's looks, verbally abused his wife, and voted to impeach Hillary's husband. You'd let him win? What or who are you loyal to?

@ olivia and thoughtaboutIt:

I think you're both right. I believe the Bilderberg Group, along with the other organizations and entities the Clintons have become involved with over the years, was expecting a Clinton win (did you know that Evan Bayh - touted as HRC's running mate - was a member? Interesting.) Lots of people across the world had high expectations for what a 21st Century Clinton WH would bring (esp. the ones engaged in deal-making with the ex-president). I believe WJC made a lot of promises to people that will not get kept since HRC did not win the nomination. Finally, I believe WJC is not just mad @ BHO for that reason. He's also mad @ the fact that he has to THINK now - about how to appease these people, or how to tell them "let it go", if that's possible. For all we know, he might have to think of ways to stab BHO in the back (literally and figuratively speaking) and upend the convention so that HRC gets the actual nomination. This is the chance for WJC to do the mature thing - accept his wife's defeat and show himself worthy of being considered the elder statesman of the party for reasons other than his past presidency. However, given the circumstances (and the posse of angry plutocrats around the world with their hands out), doing the "mature thing" may be difficult for him.
