Bill Gates

LA Times:

LA Times Business reports:

The Microsoft Corp. co-founder is mentioned by some in political circles as the "dream running mate" for Sen. John McCain, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, according to Politico.com.

The site asked 14 consultants, staffers, fundraisers and historians to name "their most unconventional -- but reasonably viable" vice presidential choices for McCain and Sen. Barack Obama, the presumptive Democratic nominee. Also making the list of eight long shots was Meg Whitman, the former chief executive of EBay Inc. and a McCain fundraiser.

Bill Gates as Vice President?!? No way!

* We'd have a government with a monopoly on Executive Power; the Legislative branch would have a superior product, but too few would develop on it.

* The government would periodically freeze up, requiring us to start over.

* Every few years they'd put out a new government with basically the same functionality, but a different look, so you no longer knew where to find the functionality.

* Our State Department would be offshored to India.

Gates help design a system that makes companies and people keep paying for upgrades.
Its like buying a hammer and then having to buy that hammer again and again.
Evil in its conception.

If Bill Gates can handle the massive and widespread business and government corruption of the Bush administration and still be a Republican, I guess he can do anything.

I wouldn't take Gates as a Repugg, but who knows. He's too kind and caring with his money. He doesn't kill people for money like the rest of them do - or does he?

You mean like Barbra Streisand giving away her hillside home to charity? That's just off the top of my head.

Go back and have another glass of koolaid. Putz.

Why on earth would Gate want to be associated with a group of people who have demonstrated for 12 years that they do not know how to run an economy AND don't know the value of a dollar?

#1 He's not a Republican. Doy!

#2 The man has no people skills. A VP is supposed to sit there and look pretty and make nice photo ops, an Bill Gates can't do any of those things.

#3 If McCain names Gates the VP, the image war is over, with him on the losing side. Do you really want this election to look like Microsoft vs. Apple? If McCain wants to run on being the underdog, he's got another thing coming.

If McCain gets Bill Gates, then Obama can run with Google's Eric Schmidt, a well-respected Democratic CEO whose deep understanding of the Connected Age meshes well with Obama.

Are you crazy? That global traitor, VP? Insane, totaly.

I can hardly write as my sides hurt so much from laughing! Mr. Bill is one of the most hated and despised men in this country and you want to what???? Good for the Republicans! Go ahead. Great way to lose the presidency.

Gates is a prime example of how Globalization killed America. He whined like a little baby and had corrupt Congressional attack dogs open the floodgates on Asian visa and he destroyed tech field careers for hundreds of thousands of American graduates.

This piece of sh*t spends most of his time crying over India when the country that GAVE him his dream is in turmoil. He obviously could care less, he's a typical capitalist who is bored with money and he is now looking to amass world power.

Yeah - how 'good' would it be to go from the oil VP to the visa VP?

Lord have mercy.
