McCain Denies Saying He Doesn't Know Much About Economics

This week, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) is traveling through Colombia, making a push for a free-trade agreement. In an interview with ABC this morning from Cartagena, McCain was asked about his now infamous statement that he doesn't understand economics well. McCain quickly interrupted the interviewer, denying he ever said this:

Q: You have admitted that you're not exactly an expert when it comes to the economy and many have said -

McCAIN: I have not. I have not. Actually, I have not. I said that I am stronger on national security issues because of all the time I spent in the military. I'm very strong on the economy. I understand it. I have a lot more experience than my opponent.

I've never figured out the MSM on these things. He tells the interviewer he never said it and the interviewer just moves on to the next subject. Hello!!! Has no one in the press corps ever thought of pursuing a topic with someone?

John now be careful in this day and age there is the inrternet and recording devices that we can all play back and even loop what you siad ovcer and over. You said you do not know much about the economy. I know it is hard for rethugs to get a handle on the new fangled recording devices, and saying something along the lines well what I said is not what I meant is pure BS.

Who cares if there's video of him saying he doesn't understand the economy? If he says he didn't, then the fact that he's a "straight talker" must mean that the video is lying.

Well,It isnt a problem if he dispute his own words. This is something that can easily be proven.They should then ask him Economic related questions using economics terminologies and lets see how well he understands the economics.

He doesn't know about the "Internets" and doesn't realize the impact it is having on this year's election. It is such an easy way to get involved in politics.

My hope is that everyone that is new to the politics continues to be involved even after the elections. We have a real opportunity to change politics forever and get back to the main principle of the Constitution, of the people, by the people for the people.

Where has this guy been? Did he not hear that there is this thing called youtube and even Bosnia sniper fire footage from years ago is available;stands to reason that things said on national TV months ago are available for the viewing IF you use the google and internet.

But Wesley Clark saying that McCain's military background doesn't make him particularly strong on national security, that's basphemy.
