Faceless 'Aliens' Spotted In Wimbledon Crowd

With the blankest of blank expressions on their faces, these mysterious figures have been popping up in the most unlikely of places.

The faceless mutants have a penchant for A-list celebrity bashes and have been spotted at Elton John's White tie ball and Harrods summer sale, opened by Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall.

Coincidentally? Florida GOP operatives have been distributing mailers depicting a faceless Statue of Liberty with the headline: "If the Democrats win the White House this November..­." -- "America will become unrecogniz­able."

It's a "Damn you all to hell" scare campaign no doubt engineered by covert GOP operatives under the direction of Karl Rove - it has that sort of evil character element to it, at least. To boldly deface Lady Liberty would be unpatriotic (especially during the 4th of July festivities) but injected into the ranks and allowed to virally transmit itself stealthily in this way makes it particularly effective and without any negative fallout.

For weeks now I've noticed conservatives using this same UK source (above) for negative attacks on Democrats so it wouldn't surprise me if they were also conspiring with GOP operatives in this country.

Gives new meaning to "a face in the crowd" doesn't it? I'm thinking of the Elia Kazan classic... Or the old joke about the bell ringer that used his face as a clanger - he falls out of the bell tower and a passerby can't quite identify who it is but says, "his face sure rings a bell."
