Angelina Jolie is growing increasingly grouchy with staff while she waits to give birth to twins in a French hospital, according to a new report.

The heavily-pregnant actress has been holed up in the private Lenval hospital in Nice for a week now ahead of her scheduled Caesarean section next Tuesday.

While staff there were amazed by her extreme politeness when she first arrived, Angelina's mood has darkened over the last few days, American magazine In Touch Weekly has claimed.

An insider told the publication: 'She's starting to feel that the staff are starstruck and not attentive enough. She's throwing fits if she rings and they don't come quick enough.'

In reply to "Aoide," ~ I just took a look at your Profile page (as you said you did mine) ... and I had no idea there were more critical posts from you on me there. At first, it sounded like flaming; but I think you are trying to be sincere in your views ... and that's fine. Frankly, I don't read everything everyone writes on the various threads to me or to anyone else. My longer response to your comment again about me, is further done the thread ... and I hope you take a quick look at it, as you seem sincerely upset over my strong POVs. Hopefully, that will clarify things better for you. Hope so! At any rate, I won't go into this further with you, Cynth, or anyone else. I honestly can't think of anything else to say to you on this issue, and I think we all may have offended one another on the various Jolie threads (I've certainly be offended by comments my direction ... and I am guessing you have too). Perhaps, we just need to leave our passionate feelings on such celebrities 'at the door " & discuss only the subject matter ~ rather than personal qualms. Does that sound like a good plan for future discussions here?

Shedances out.

After what happened to star Jolie Foster (John Hinkley, Jr. shooting Reagan to impress her...), I will never look at fanatic adult fans of popular celebrities without cause for concern. Obsession of any other person is sick, IMHO (whether they're a stranger, a movie star, a former or present colleague, an ex-love, etc.).

Moreover, a 'fanatic' is a term best summarized by Winston Churchill in another of his famous quotations: "A fanatic is one who can't change his mind and won't change the subject." I can think of so many other topics or film personalities worth discussing, besides Angelina Jolie. But can you ... adult fans of her's?

Would be interesting to hear replies on this!

Poster Cynth's very nasty comment below ~ telling me in a very immature way how I should comment & why she/he is right as compared to my views here (LOL) ~ reminded me of why I fear & am alarmed by certain fanatic fans of certain celebrities! What comes to mind right off the bat is celebrity Jodie Foster's stalker fan ~ John Hinkley ~ who shot Reagan to impresss her. This was awhile ago; but a more recent, newsworthy obsessed-celebrity-fan was actress Uma Thurman's stalker, who I believe was sent to jail for his bizarre & frightening behavior.

In my view ~ there's nothing wrong with liking a celebrity or reading about their life ... however, when fans become so obsessed that they eat up every little detail about this person's life, and deem themselves expert-strangers on these individuals ... then a "red flag" quickly pops up. This can be considered outside the range of normal fan behavior. It's excessive. It's obsessive. And it doesn't help anyone ... because by it's very nature, the term "fanatic" means someone who cannot see other points-of-view & believes they are omniscient and always right.

Thanks,

K

Moderators ~ please take this post off. It is a near duplicate, as I hit the "post" button before editing it down. I don't care for the poster I'm referring to ... but I believe it is an unnecessarily harsh response to her/his opinions. I should not have taken such views from a stranger here personally, as I did. I must be over tired today from a long week of work! Usually, I let it slip off my backside (& for good reason). Thanks for your time and help in this matter.

Give the woman a break! Pregnant women in the final trimester, carrying twins no less, deserves her grouchy moments. Must be a very slow paparazzi day here.

Hospital staff are not paid to be celebrity servants or helpers or cooks! Angelina Jolie, who has money & people at her beckon call, should have planned this particular hospital stay better ... if she's finding fault with it now. And no ~ not all of us are rude to maternity hospital staff. We know we're not the only ones seeking their care.

Hmm.

Not where is the poster, "francoise," who was saying not long ago how much better the food would be in a French hospital as compared to those in the States?

Also, maybe this article about how ordinary Jolie is behaving (moody, uncomfortable, exhausted, frustrated, etc.) will help dispel those romantic myths about her ... I believe poster "GrandyK" who has been a kind of Team Jolie leader here will recall those.

I wish all expectant Moms a happy and safe delivery!!

Cynthia ~ your reply to me is odd; but it gets me to thinking ... why do you come out of the woodwork for attention? You weren't one of the Jolie fanatics I was thinking of, or referring to. Perhaps you just need to show your allegiance to this actress. That's fine. But I'm sure you can do it with others in a way that makes better sense, don't you?

First of all, if any of this is actually true, and it's probably not, the person that couldn't keep their mouth shut should be fired.

Second, Angelina Jolie is eight or nine months pregnant with twins and on bed rest. If she is feeling a little crabby, who cares? Because anyone in her same situation after a week would be just as bad if not worse. I can about imagine how uncomfortable it is. Leave the woman alone and let her have the babies in peace and give her a break on some of the emotions she's going through.

If you or Reason, etc. can be any more successful than Jolie's & Pitt's people have been, at controlling what people say & when & where they choose to say it ... then more power to you both!

I don't think this particular 'news' is such a big deal ~ & I highly doubt that Angelina Jolie's PR people are rushing to counter it, to save her lovely expectant mother image ... do you?

Any "staff" running their mouths to the tabloids, whether for cash or not, deserve to be FIRED.

And if the "insider" is friend or family, for SHAME.

Get real, Religion.

You can't force other countries or their hospitals/medical staff to do as you wish. It's not your call. You don't live there.

Angelina Jolie chose to go there. The last thing she needs, IMO, is a pity party. What an expectant mother of twins needs is courage, confidence & emotional/medical support. I have a feeling she's getting that from both her family, her doctor (Sussman) & the French hospital. That's the best you can ask for. What more does Angelina Jolie want?

And some parents of multiples, like myself, would argue that this is the easy part ... when you consider the next 18 or more years.

I couldn't agree more with your last statement. It falls right into place with the expression "the cheapest part is buying the horse". The easiest part is birthing the child... it gets progressively harder/more complicated as they mature.

I feel for her ... while I've never given birth, my then 44-year-old skinny sister popped out an eight pounder and was miserable the last month. Double that pleasure - your nether regions stuffed full of babies, pressing on your spine, making you short of breath. Sounds awful, actually. Who wouldn't be crabby?

I know how she feels. I was on bed rest for most of my second pregnancy. Those last few days especially are torture and you can't help but make everyone else around you a little miserable.

Spoiled - my arse. I hated those last few weeks of each of my pregnancies and felt like hell - and they were each a single birth. I can well imagine what she is going through and what's she is feeling.

You certainly don't speak for all women, lrm. I look back on my three pregnancies (which resulted in 4 kids) as some of the most wonderful, most positive experiences in my life! I was finishing graduate school, when I became pregnant with identical twins ... and I didn't drop my studies or constantly complain about how tired or heavy I was. I put on 40 lbs, and was probably the heaviest grad. student on the library stairs; but I got to my classes, got my work done, & kept a positive attitude. I wouldn't trade those pregnancy experiences for anything in the world ~ and guess what, many other moms say they feel that way, too!

Ever seen a woman in labor? My sis is an OBGYN RN She tells me that womein in a labor at the hosiptals ROUTINELY threaten to cut the baby out of their belly. Scream at their husbands/partner for their "condition" and throw things and staff and BEG Jesus and all of his friends for the pain to stop.

Yeah I would wan the babies out too.

What makes you think Jolie is currently 'in labor,' jaded? It doesn't say that in the article. Where are you getting this idea from?

...Because people are so incredibly disconnected with who they are as women, with what birth really is, I'm not at all surprised. It is, however, a ridiculous falsehood. Childbirth can have complications, of course, but for the most part, it's EASY. It's called 'labor' for a reason, and if women are prepared, emotionally and physically and spiritually, they'll be fine. This is such a stupid misconception. But please, have the most dramatic time you can think of - but just know, it doesn't have to be that way.

However, I'd be furious if I'd been stuck in a hospital for that long, too, pregnant or not.

HELLO...ya think it might be hormones? She doesn't sound much worse than some I've known with PMS. I find the quote that she thinks the staff are starstruck and don't respond quickly when summoned...makes no sense. If they were 'starstruck' they be up her ass in a heartbeat when she rang her buzzer.
Those who are criticizing her for wanting to schedule her c-section...try carrying 2 babies around in your body for 9 months and see how you tolerate it.
