After a brief bout of Obamamania, some Capitol Hill Democrats have begun to complain privately that Barack Obama's presidential campaign is insular, uncooperative and inattentive to their hopes for a broad Democratic victory in November.

"They think they know what's right and everyone else is wrong on everything," groused one senior Senate Democratic aide. "They are kind of insufferable at this point."

I think the leadership in Washington have already shown what happens. No impeachment, full funding for Iraq invasion/occupation with no timetable for withdrawal. And the list goes on. So, what would be different, if Obama were to turn over control of his campaign to them, now? What possible advantage would they bring to the table? I also wonder why it is so important for sources to insist on anonymity?
