Bill Waterboarding

Bill O'Reilly discussed with Shepard Smith today why he held back the full tape of Rev. Jesse Jackson caught by Fox News on a hot mic.

"I'm not in the business of hurting Jesse Jackson, because it does hurt Jesse Jackson," he said. "And I'm not in the business of creating some kind of controversy that is not relevant to the general subject: one civil rights leader disparaging another, over policy. So we held it back. Some weasel leaked it to the internet. That person wants to hurt Jesse Jackson."

"Do we know who leaked it, and what's happened to that person?" Smith asked.

"No, but I've got the waterboard right over here," O'Reilly responded.

Hitchens was on Ring of Fire today to talk about his waterboarding experience and said it was torture. RFK Jr asked if he's now against the Iraq War. Hitch said he still thinks we should have invaded Iraq but that the execution was badly done. How can anyone, after all the horror, think the illegal invasion of Iraq was a good idea?

GEE! Can’t anybody take a joke? There is plenty to criticize O’Reilly for, being the national scold, taking quotes out of context, being a bully and the most ignorant man on television, but he does have a sense of humor. That’s something his critics need to develop.

From "Inside Edition" to Fox "News". How appropriate.

Him and Limbaugh ought to try like their boy Hitchens did, but maybe for a few days not just a couple minutes.

I guess Bill-O the clown will have to waterboard himself since there's no doubt that he's the weasel who wants to hurt Jesse Jackson.

O'silly is too far gone. I used to think he was just a right wing propagandist, but he is in fact three bricks shy of a load. He has lied so much, spewed so much hatred that now he is delusional and paranoid. I see a terrible fall for this clown in a no too distant future. Mark my words.

Will someone please deconstruct the clip for me? After all, I'm just an obtuse American who can't grasp the subtlties of Bill O's humor or the cover of this week's New Yorker.

Ha, ha, ha. It's funny on so many different levels. How do he and his staff keep it so sharp and relevant night after night?

I think that Cable offers Fox as their regular program so people watch it... Captive audience I'd say.

I've got the Dish 100 package, and I don't get Fox or MSNBC as part of that. (I have MSNBC right now, because it's on free preview.) I don't know about other cable or dish providers. Even if I got no other cable news, I still wouldn't watch Fox...enough MSNBC programming is available via podcast (love my Countdown video podcast) or online video that I can see what I want.

If Bill-O will agree to it, I will meet him to be waterboarded. Caveat, he has to air the entire torture session on his show within a week (negotiable). And find a professional who will do the entire sequence of events entailed in such an endeavour. $100.00 says he won't do it.

I remember Bill O'Reilly years ago from Inside Edition. I also remember Fox before it became Faux. These days I now refer to him as Brillo. Abrasive, but can cut through the scum. Too bad he isn't inclined to scrub up his own image and that of the other spinheads. Housecleaning is definitely in order at Faux.

Clever . . . your parents must be proud, why don't you go upstairs and tell them you made a funny. They might tell you to get a job and leave the house since you are 40 but it will be ok.
