Mattel: Bratz, Batman And... Beating GM?

Check out the fun and games at Mattel.

The maker of Barbie dolls and Hot Wheels toy cars posted better-than expected quarterly earnings Friday.

But the real boon for the company was its victory over Bratz doll maker MGA Entertainment in a copyright infringement lawsuit.

A federal jury found that Carter Bryant, who created the popular Bratz dolls had come up with the characters and name while he was still under contract as a designer for Barbie at Mattel.

Interesting in the link the pic of the matchbox original Batmobile, the real one was based on a 50's ford concept car for Lincoln called the Futura.

As for GM, get more decent CAR product out there, even if you have to go to Australia and Germany to get it. I just rented an Impala on vacation, it's not too bad really-only think keeping me from considering it as a next car is go back to the 3/3 taillight styling of the 58, 60 to 69 era Impalas-that look that distinguished a Chevrolet from other makes.
