Elitism is a synonym for "snobbery". It has nothing to do with how much money a person has.

Why can't you Obama supporters -- who we keep hearing are so well-educated -- get the meaning of this word straight?

Uh-Oh. The last time a couple of politicians got this deeply into debt, MBNA stepped in and gave them a sweetheart deal in exchange for their votes on the Bankruptcy Bill.

I don't get it. If Cindy is so rich, why doesn't she just pay these debts off, especially the personal ones, so it doesn't become a news distraction? Something is definitely up with their finances. Huffpo, do your research on this one. Me thinks Cindy and John may not have access the the money we think they do.

The story doesn't say how long McCain has been carrying this debt. It could be for less than a month, if he charged campaign expenses.

If the McCains didn't have the money *you* think they do, the credit card company would have frozen their accounts.

Big deal. The campaign just has a corporate account to cover expenses, like housing and food. Lot of money goes through it, and I doubt it'll have a zero balance at any time before the campaign is done.

That argument MIGHT hold water ... if this same article didn't refer to the fact that Cindy McCain charged $500,000 in one month. Hmmm... smacks of elitism to me. No wonder McCain and his advisors think that the recession is just a mental thing - they have no idea how average Americans live.

Dang, I wish I was rich enough to charge a million bucks on my credit card. Heck, I wish I could charge a hundred bucks.

Now tell me who's out of touch with the avaerage American? It sure isn't Barack Obama.

Like his 10 million dollar Ocean Front Condo, which he pays $3500 in Real Estate Taxes, while his neighbors pay hundredes of thousands, McCain will propose legislation that grants servitude of your children to pay off defaulted Credit Card Debts in exchange for a clean slate w/ the cc company

Nobody in the place where that condo is located pays "hundredes of thousands" in real estate taxes.

I bet you don't own your own home, or you'd know that.

She gave up one addiction for another....
As for the McCain campaign they are going after Hillary's voters and taking on her bad habits in the process.
