Obama Mobbed By Crowd Of GIs In Baghdad (VIDEO)

Barack Obama met with a crowd of cheering troops and State Department workers in Baghdad Monday night.

"So I don't care whether you are a Sailor, a Soldier, an Airmen, or Marine. A National Guard, a Reservist, active duty, we just want to say thank you," Obama said.

"Back home, as I travel all across the country, every single day I meet your friends, your family members, your co-workers, and the main thing they want me to communicate is how proud they are of you," Obama continued. "They may disagree on politics. They may disagree on the issues. But the country is absolutely united in the excellence, the devotion, the dedication with which you have performed your duties, here.

I look and listen to Senator Barack Obama and I know in my heart, that not "anything", but "everything" is possible, if we want it bad enough. This man provides hope where it had long been lost, and he leads by example. He doesn't just say it can happen, he proves it.

My only question is, "Now that I know it's possible, what will I do tomorrow"? "What will you do"?

I may be the change I've been looking for, but Barack Obama has been the inspiration.

He is truly a great leader, and I love the fact that I am living history alongside him.

Wow. I'm starting to remember what it was that drew me to switch my support to this guy just before the California primary. We are so in need of this kind of inspiring leadership in this country, this world. We have the answers in us, we know the right things to do, we just need someone to inspire us again that the right things are worth doing, worth fighting for. Everything in the coverage of this trip, that I've seen so far, has seemed sincere on the part of the soldiers he's met.
Not what I see when it's Bush over there. That seems staged and stiff and 'put on'.
