BIll O'Reilly: "MoveOn Is The New Klan" (VIDEO)

MoveOn.org is a web-based progressive political organization and the latest target of Bill O'Reilly's Talking Points segment. During the segment the conservative talk show host accused MoveOn of promoting racism, before drawing comparisons between the organization and "the Klan."

Previously, MoveOn had made a similar accusation against FOX (with less severe comparisons) on their FOX: Stop The Smears page.

The sad thing is that the people who watch Fox will believe their lies. I am constantly amazed at how gullible and stupid some people are. Somebody told me the other day that they believed that the Bush Administration was responsible for 9/11. They actually believed that the US government would murder 3 or 4 plane loads of their own citizens as part of some murky political plot. Or how about this one. Many people believe that the CIA (or the US government) created AIDS and is infecting black people. They say that 1/2 the population has below average intelligence. I'm pretty convinced they are all Republicans.

There were no bigger boosters of Bush then Hannity and O'Reilly. They wanted him to attack every country on his list of evil empires, which probably included many. The American public has rejected the incompetence, criminality, warmongering, using religion as a wedge, and the extreme partisanship of the Bush years. We have soundly rejected it. O'Reilly and Hannity must feel very alone to see how far to the right of the American public they are. We are a fair and tolerant people. O'Reilly, Hannity and the Fox News organization is out of step with the values of the American public where only less than 30% approve of Bush.

Being wrong and lying does not always translate to low ratings. O'Reilly and Hannity provide entertainment if nothing else.

Yeah, it is actually easier to have someone spoon feed you the idea that the neocons you voted for are not a bunch of lying crooks stealing our treasury blind and amassing great loss of life in the process. Makes it a little easier for republican voters, otherwise known as low information voters, to sleep at night. You might want to go look up the study done on how faux news watchers are up to 800% more likely to incorrectly answer questions on current events than people who get their news from other sources. It is pathetic. The Ministry of Misinformation. Oh and by the way, faux news being fed talking points by the White House, which Scott McClellan admitted to day before yesterday, is considered propogandizing the American people. Another crime to add to the long list.

Sean Hannity is a modern day Bull Connor and Bill-O's hero is Joseph McCarthy. FOX's core audience is the South. The majority of their on air personalities hail from this region and they race bait as a standard practice. They couls easy replace the American flag with a Confederate one without missing a beat. If FOX had been on the air during the Civil Rights movement yu can just guess what their coverage of MLK or JFK would have been like. Better yet imagine how they would have been reporting while Lincoln was running for Office.

Go to MediaMatters.org you will see countless pages of it. You can look up the same thing on Rush, Sean Hannity, John Gibson, the rest of your masters. It is virtually endless and tracked and documented on a daily basis. There is only one problem, there are so many examples at this point it will take you years to read it.

What a class *less act, ambushing a Congressman on his opinion show, insinuate he is doing something illegal and unethical, then announce he can come on his show for the last 2 days to subjugate himself to O'Reilly's baseless attacks to defend himself. We need to change some laws so that opinion shows like his have large flashing letters saying "Opinion, not necessarily fact. This is not a news show", and opening them up to being sued for slander and defamation. By pretending to be reporting news, O'Reilly in a sleazy way borrows from the credibility of real journalists, and watering down what little integrity most news shows have left.

Bill is absolutely right. I'm a Democrat, and I cannot stand all of the hatred coming from the far left. MSNBC is horribly biased, so I'm forced to watch Fox because I find CNN horribly boring. I enjoy watching Fox because they offer a different point of view than my own, which is refreshing. I can't stand Keith Olbermann's hour of hate (or Countdown, as it's officially called). Olbermann tries to be funny but he isn't (AT ALL). Bill is naturally a funny guy and is self-deprecating, unlike that blowhard Olbermann who thinks his excrement is pure gold. Though I disagree with Bill sometimes, I think he is one of the most honest men in journalism today.

Well said zull2. MoveOn is a grassroots organization with over 3 million members. It was not until they surveyed the members a received a greater that 50% vote that they endorsed Senator Obama.

Fox News (an oxymoron if there ever was one) was started up by Roger Ailes. Mr. Ailes was a Republican campaign consultant for over 30 years before Murdoch hired him. Another accomplishment of Mr. Ailes is his advocating of Rush Limbaugh to radio executives.

With O'Rielly, Hannity, Rove, Kristol, terrorist fist jabs and baby mommas, it might be considered naive to think that Fox News is actually news.

Good grief, you have had way too much kool-aid.

Obviously you are over-looking Nixon's southern strategy which was to separate the white southern voters from the Democratic party on the basis of race - worked for him and the Republicans, too. The goal was not only to seize power but to marginalize blacks and poor whites - you know sort of like the klan's plans for the South after the Civil War.

Don't forget that Strom Thurman may have started out as a Democrat but he wound up a Republican.

Billy should know better but that's what happens when he does it live.
