Rudy Giuliani's Son Sues Duke After Getting Kicked Off Golf Team

DURHAM, N.C. — The son of former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani is suing Duke University, claiming he was wrongfully kicked off the golf team.

Andrew Giuliani claims he was dismissed without cause from the golf team earlier this year because coach O.D. Vincent III wanted to cut the team of 13 players by about half. The lawsuit claims the coach has interferred with Giuliani's efforts toward becoming a professional golfer.

Duke University spokesman Keith Lawrence said Thursday the university was discussing the lawsuit but didn't have an immediate comment.

The 198-page lawsuit was filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court by Durham attorney Robert Ekstrand. Ekstrand did not immediately return a message for comment.

Dear friends,

Never underestimate this nation's attachment to the great old game of Golf. (Especially among our beloved "ruling class" in this fair land.)

For heaven's sake...giving it up was the only way on earth that our brave Commander-in-Chief could even hope to demonstrate his heartfelt solidarity with all the millions of people that have been either killed or maimed by his "crisp" fearless foreign policy decisions. In a sense Bush is more or less saying that life without his golf game equals his own death......sort of.
(Another tough decision by our decisive "decider"!)

I once heard, and I've no reason to doubt the truth of this statement:

"If AIDS could somehow be contracted by gripping the handle of a golf club.....a complete cure would have been discovered years ago."

I once heard, for example, and I've no reason to doubt the truth of this statement, but it goes like this:

The lawsuits I filed the judge limited Briefs and Motions to 10 pages. Lord help you if it was 11 pages cause the judge would refuse it.

Presumably the 198 pages was a complaint.

It is inexcusable. If I were the judge I would throw it out right there. Save everyones time and money.

And not wait for the Motion to Dismiss, which is surely coming. And which I bet it doesn't get past.

What judge in a college town is going to set the precedent that anyone cut from an athletic team can sue?

Personally I hope he loses, and that the coach used real world statistics to boot this spoiled Kid, in fact it wouidl be nice when he loases the Judge forces him to pay the entire court and lawyers fees for bringing a childish lawsuit.

Would the little cry baby like to give us the scores from his last 12 rounds of golf?

I think not!

Boo hoo hoo - loser just like his daddy, grow up!

Ya want to super size that?

It's the coach's choice. One hopes it's a result of crappy scores or lack of team contributions.

What college golf teams were Hogan, Sanders, Palmer, Lima, Trevino, Venturi, Hagen, and Nelson on again?

198 page lawsuit? Give me pause...

Lastly, if the kid is worth a damn, qualifying school will settle any and all doubts.

THIS MAKES ME WANT TO PUKE............................. GROW UP KID.

This kid has been spoiled from since he was born. This is an obvious reflection on his parents, particularly his father. One only needs to take a good look at his father to realize that the fruit did not fall from the tree. He even disprupted his dad's first inauguration as mayor of NYC 14 years ago.

This is worth an article, but Edwards banging and impregnating women while his wife has cancer is not. Makes sense to me...

This is quite a reversal from a year ago. Both the children of Rudy were very vocal that they did not support their fathers run for the Presidency. The bloggers on the left embraced these children as hero's. Now your telling me he's right winger. You are just like Barack change when it benefits your current point of view!!!

I was on my high school sailing team freshman and sophmore years. I was denied a slot junior year because the coach wanted to cycle in some fresh blood. I didn't go running for the nearest tort lawyer because of it.

High school SAILING team!??! So, did you go to high school with that Giuliani kid? Did your high school have a fox hunting team, too?

So, are you bragging or complaining?
