Wallnote

Politico:

The Israeli paper Maariv obtains the note Obama left at the Western Wall in Jerusalem, and puts a photograph of it on its front page.

The handwriting, beneath the letterhead of the King David Hotel, does appear to be Obama's. Visitors traditional stick notes of prayer into the wall.

...

The paper reports that the note was taken by a yeshiva student who was at the wall at the time -- a mark of how virtually nothing remains private.

For the person who stole and sold Obama's prayer to God and the newspaper who printed it - you have shown your God to be THE GOD OF PROFFITEERING

Joke warning!

What the note said:

"Israel, tear down this wall!"

" I know it is not politically correct BUT I am no fan of Israel. To me this publication of a very personal prayer is typical of their cheesy tactics".

Oh Please . Give me a break. A newspaper screws up ans prints something it shouldn't and that represents the actions of a whole country? Does the MSM in this country represent you?

I too, pray to God that He/She blesses you, protects you and keep you and your family safe.

One day Obama is talking about tearing down walls and ending racial and religious bigotry. The day before he's praying to a wall in a Yamika and kissing up to bigots in the Likud Party.

The hypocrisy and disengenuity!

Well ,one wall was put up to keep people in and the other, older wall was a 4 thousand year old wall from a religous sanctuary. I didn't see him kiss up to anybody since he also met with the Palestinian leader. Want to amend your comment?

I'm not sure why everyone seems so surprised about this. It was painfully obvious once Obama placed his note in the wall that if it could be retrieved it would be and promptly sold to the media.

I'm sure obama knew this as well ... he's not naive. Not saying that this is why his note was so generic but if ever there was a desire to write something which may be misunderstood he probably nixed that in favor of something the media would not critique to death.

This really angers and saddens me. My God is there any decency left! This is total violation of a man's private thoughts and prayers to God, how shameful. The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.

It's not private if you stick it in a public wall.

Why mock or put down anyone elses prayer,as if you know the heart of the person ?

James 4:1 -3 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?
Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
If interested ...the words "prayer" "request" "ask" are good word studies, that will help to guide you. By word studies,I mean..get a KJV online Bible with concordanance , type the words into it's search engine ( it's like google) and read everywhere those words are found in the KJV Bible.Google Free online bible.
From what I understand.a Prayer of faith, to pray in his will.. to pray for the good of others, their salvation, any prayer that is according to his will, which is that we love one another as he has loved us, remembering that only he knows the plan from start to finish, since he made it,So whatever answer we get ( though we will probably never know if those who's salvation we prayed for, were saved),we must willingly accept..just as Jesus did.
( Father knows best )

It's a good prayer..one we should all pray. I didn't know people put prayers at the wall,it reminds me of when I was a little kid,and I had an especially urgent request of God,I would pray in my head, and then just in case he didn't hear me,I'd whisper it,and then I'd write a letter to God and leave it on my dresser.
here are a couple of my favorite prayers from the Bible.
Jesus in the Garden
Mat 26:39 And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

Luke 5:12 And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
Luke 5:13 And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him.

and Solomons request as well.

Huffington, I don't think you should have posted the link to the article, when the article has O's prayer in it, it just makes you complicit in violating this man's privacy. Sure, we all would pprobably have come across it eventually, but it didn't have to be you.

Well did the student put it back? Seriously...what is the protocal on this, I'm obviously not Jewish can someone who is explain? I think it should go back. Maybe the rabbi in charge can pray over it and stick it back in there. This should have never been published, what a complete invasion of privacy! That kid should apologize.

For all the haters that feel it necessary to criticize Obama, are truly not Christian. I have read posts on CNN and here and I am appalled at the hatred that spews from some of your keyboards.

I think the real prayer needs to be for those who have such hate in thier hearts that they really need God's hand put upon them to free them from the burden.

I don't care if you don't like Obama and will never vote for him. This was a private prayer between him and his God and you should all (haters) be ashamed at your lack of compassion and humanity.

what hypocrites. This man has come before you and your god to ask for your blessing .... he has done what you have required of him with full knowledge that most of you despise him ...in humility he stood before your shrine and prayed his heart's prayer to your god in confidence that his prayer would be answered. .. wanting nothing more than just to please you.. and what do you do... YOU ARROGANT, SINFUL, EVIL, GODLESS PEOPLE, this is why you don't have peace in your land .... this is why millions of people dispise YOU........ how could you do something like this, this most sacred act. This man is asking your god to forgive him of his sins, to guide him, to show him the way to help.. not heal (for all you messiah watchers) this wound that Amerikka has caused...... I hope your god forgives you for your sins....

Back off the rath a bit. You condemn people for the act of one. I personally don't think it is fair to condemn me for the transgressions of Bush.

Every American (except 1%) will be paying for what bush has done.
And this student stole the religous virtue of a Jewish nation. The sanctity of the wall was broken by this student. People now wont be as trusting to leave a message.

Please don't ascribe the acts of one or two people to an entire country, or religion, or whatever you were referring to. I certainly don't want to be judged by the acts of some people with whom I share a country or a religion.

Well put. That student was a jerk, him individually. Oh, and the newspaper people who made the decision to print it. Besides, what's this about Israelis despising the O-man? Polls show they actually prefer him to Mac.

Try to calm down...although I understand why you are upset. And listen to proudloud, below, who gives goiod advice. You can't damn a whole country for the actions of a thoughtless student plus what must be a really tacky newspaper editor.

Try to avoid insulting all Israelites for the actions of one. I'm sure Obama would never do such a thing, any more than any American would want to be called evil or sinful because of the actions of Bush.

It's a shame that something that's supposed to be sacred and private is now plastered on tv and in newspapers for the world to see. Now CNN has revealed the contents of the note, despicable!
