Sen. Hillary Clinton has agreed to speak on the second night of next month's Democratic convention, headlining on the 88th anniversary of the day women earned the right to vote, sources say.

Two sources close to Clinton said the former presidential candidate will speak August 26 with all female U.S. senators on stage with her.

"Tuesday night is Hillary night," said one supporter.

That night is the anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution, which gave women the right to vote.

Honestly, do Obama supporters even want Hillary supporters vote? By continuing to bash her and her supporters, how on earth does that bring the party together? This has become completely irrational and downright disturbing.

I haven't visited Huff Post in a few months because of the Hillary Hatred that was here every minute of every day during the primary and I see from these comments that nothing has changed. I'm am still very confused about where all these "new" and oh so hateful Democrats have come from. You may think that you are doing Obama a big favor with all this hatred but you are not and you may just see that on election day. I am a life long Democrat and have been voting since 1968 and for the first time in my life I am considering not voting. Your rabid and irrational support of Obama on this site reminds me of a bunch of spoiled and nasty children.

I find it interesting that you fail to mention anything concerning the negative comments left about Ob@m@ by the members of PUM@. They may think that they are doing a favor for Hi!!ary, but they are not. Their childish sore loser attitude and hateful rantings do nothing but fuel any animosity felt towards Hi!!ary.

If you are a life long "Democrat" then maybe you need start acting like one.

You and HRC supporters like you cannot still get over the fact that BO defeated your candiditate fair and square. It's July (4 months until the general election) and you are still blaming Obama for Hillary's failure. You in fact are being the hateful one, when you porttray Obama supporters as "rabid and irrational". You should know in your Democratic hard of hearts, that a stay home vote is just another vote for Sen. John McCain, i.e, another Bush 4 years of failed policies. You are giving up your "Greatest power as an American citizen" the right to vote that can effect positive change, and all you can say is you considering not voting. Please wake up! It is so critically important that we "UNITE" . The Democratic Party is bigger that than Hillary and Barak, because in the end, it more about progessive demoractic ideals than the person. If Hillary was the victor, I would be supporting her right now. No question! If you stay, then the republicans have won. Is that what you want? I hope that you become part of the solution! UNITE!!!

Will Obama's peeps ever give up their Hillary-hate? Banging on Clinton even after the nomination process has been ended reminds me of Ari Fleischer at the podium, after the 2000 election was over and taken, denouncing Clinton's staff for vandalizing the White House and Air Force One. Karl Rove is smiling.

At least, ALL WOMEN in Congress will be on stage with her. No more Hillary's "me! me! mine!"

Shirley Chisholm was the first female Presidential candidate in modern times. What do you bet that HRC does not mention that.

I for one will not watch her "I, I, I" speech. I cannot wait until the election is over and she is not on TV anymore.

What has she done to hurt you?

HOW ABOUT NEARLY WRECKING THE CHANCES FOR A DEMOCRAT IN THE WHITE HOUSE IN 2009, so she can try again in 2012?

Is that enough for you? Should I list 10 more things?

I'm not just another bitter women, if I thought she would have been the correct choice I would have voted for her.

I did not vote for her. So listen to her speech, and count how I's she utters.

Too bad this story is unsupported with a bogus link.

This is a good move. I hope Hillary slams McCain and says Obama has passed the "Comander-in-Chief" test.

then the whole media would say she is not telling the truth, come on, he will never be ready to be commander in chief, no matter who says it.

I see Lanny Davis is at it again, once again cup in hand in the WSJ insisting that H illary be the VP pick.

any bets she plugs her website and asks for donations to retire her debt? i know anyone who donates the max. $2300, could go on stage with her.

It will be too late at that point for the most part. Once Obama is officially nominated, she eats her debt.

The lack of understanding of the process just furthers my belief that we have completely American Idolized presidential politics. Pathetic really.

Unless you are a political trivia hobbyist, what possible value is it to the average voter to know the point at which a candidate may no longer accept contributions?

Lighten up, you're not as cool as you think.

OMG.....If she says 'Hillary Clinton Dot Com' one more time, I may lose my lunch. Did you see that thing where she will do a dinner date for a contribution? Yikes.

I hope this means that Senator Clinton, through her people, will not continue to insist on a divisive roll call vote. While it is true that she was a major female candidate, many of us who were in her so-called demographic were lost to the Clinton campaign because of her pro-war vote and then later, because of her surrogate's statements that she was losing because of sexism. It wasn't that; it was issues and the fundamentally unsavory campaign she ran. I hope that when she gets her 15 minutes (or 45), she will support Senator Obama and eschew self justification and self promotion. I'm a New Yorker, and she still has a future in the Senate...or at least, that's what her people keep insisting. Some of us are less sure that she owns the seat. She's given our state's needs extremely short shrift for over a year, and we badly need two active senators in this economic climate. There are a number of talented women out there who would make good presidential candidates in 2016, none of them hawks. Keep the faith. We'll have a female president, but she will reflect women's values, which historically have come down against wars of choice.

This should be high drama for those who want to parse every comment and glance and arched eyebrow. The pundits will be examining every movement and watching the crowd for every juicy tidbit for assessment.

The CNN said every female congressperson will be there. If true, this would mean republicans as well as democrats. That would be very collegial.

As another has pointed out, Wednesdays are usually allotted for veeps. Peeps who aren;t prepaired for what that means should start the process now.

What I never understood - and this is a statement of fact rather than a dig - is why HRC supporters never dipped into their pockets in the same way as Obama's did. Now I'm sure she's a fine woman with many outstanding qualities, but I can't figure out why her many devoted followers never thought to help her out. Odd.

Odd is "a" word for it. It's actually dumbfounding that they could seem so rabid at times to see her be president of the free world but couldn't spare her a few bucks.

For your information, most of us, (her supporters) are not allowed legally to give her any more money. We're tapped out at the max. If we could, we certainly would.

My theory has always been that many of them aren't really that supportive of her, rather, they just hate O. If that's true, they would not be digging in their pockets to help her pay off her debt. Any true supporters would help her in this matter.
