Ted Stevens Down Double Digits After Indictment

A Rasmussen Reports poll shows Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens trailing his Democratic rival, Anchorage Mayor Mark Begich, by thirteen points, 50% to 37%. It's the first poll since Stevens was indicted on charges of lying about accepting more than a quarter of a million dollars worth of gifts.

Both of Stevens' Republican challengers, Vic Vickers and David Cuddy, are even further behind Begich.

But 50% still regard Stevens favorably and don't want him to resign. 66% view him as at least as ethical as most politicians.
