President Bush Not So Good With American Flags

So, apparently, even after seven years, President George W. Bush still hasn't learned how to correctly display the American flag. Glorious. We still have to pay him a salary, out of our stimulus packages, apparently.

It's times like this that you just sort of have to say, "Know what? On second thought, Mr. President, please don't make an effort to resolve the crisis in Georgia, okay? I think we'll all be better off."

Okay so, I am NOT a Bush fan. If I had an opportunity to hit him with a bus, I would. But the guy grabbed the flag in excitement. It's not something the nation should freak out about. We all have blonde moments. He's a bad president, yeah. But come on.. find something to DO besides tearing down famous people.

How come when I post that most of the bloggers here would rather burn the flag than look at it and then give a link where you can see the Flag Code, It gets pulled. When you people (Yes I said You People) trash the United States and say all kinds of vile things about Our President and Our Toops, it is allowed to stay?

Hippies hide behind the banner of "Freedom of Speech" but when that freedom comes back at them they don't like it anymore!

Amazing,

"most of the bloggers here would rather burn the flag than look at it"??? I haven't read any comment from "most bloggers here" where they even insinuate that they or we hate the flag, "rather burn it than look at it". You must have been at a Repug site and thought you were here when you read bloggers wanting to "burn the flag". I also have not read of anybody say "vile" things about "Our Troops". Questioning and even disagreeing with our President and his idiotic actions is our right and even our obligation as American citizens. Criticizing the unnecesary invasion of Iraq is also our right and even our obligation when we see that the action was not for the protection of this country and put thousands of our young men and women at unnecessary harms way--that is not saying anything bad about the troops themselves, they are not who decided to invade Iraq. I thought we did not live in a dictatorship where one is not really allowed to publicly question or criticize its leader.
"Hippies hide behind the banner of "Freedom of Speech" but when that freedom comes back at them they don't like it anymore" WHAT on earth are you talking about? and who are these "Hippies" you speak of!

BassMonk,

You cant say "Guys" to these people. (Yes, I said these people, sorry). You must stay "Gender Nuetral"! It is offensive to "These People".

Meatball1, sounds like you have some unresolved anger issues there. Might want to get some help before you commit blog rage or something!

How come it hasn't been mentioned that Georgie had a big crusty bruise on his left arm the night Michael Phelps won a Gold medal. As the camera Panned to the President there was a LARGE visible injury on his arm. Did he fall down in a drunken stupor?

Sorry about that, looking at a slide show of Georgie it's his right arm that has the scab he wears his watch on his left arm

Our President had a hippie in a head lock earlier in the day. Whatever came out of the dred locks probably gave him some kind of infection!

Just sayin',

Just like trhe repukelicans that fly the flag that are my nieghbors. No respect for the flag, fly it in the rain, fly it at night without a light shinning on it, and fly it all wadded up and tangled on the pole for months. Real patriotic!!!

It is displayed that way to represent moving forward (as if the flag was on a pole or standard).

Your president should be a shoo - in replacement for Jay Leno. I would watch it every night.

Wait a sec. This guy has his jacket and tie off, acting the fool like some C student in a B-level community college. Ohhhh, yeahhh... And then turn the camera to the other foreign dignitaries present at the event. My gosh who DID we elect? Somebody out of Animal House? Gadzooks.

Why expect him to get this straight? He caught the last flight to loserville a long time ago.

Yeah, who made all the kerfuffel about the flag displayed in wrong direction, anyway? Was it a Republican? Was it a veteran? You know, some who is a conservative, patriot or national hero? Hm. And that person voted for the guy in the picture who is man-handling the national symbol, tsk tsk?

Did you catch BUSH slouched at the GAMES OPENING tapping his little flag on a stick on his knee and checking his watch? Looked bored silly like late BOB HOPE getting yet another umpteenth award at yet another classiest of presentation venues. Face it. GW has important things to do. Ranch stuff like chop sticks. Read lots of hard new books. And reduce the value of people everywhere.

I saw that it was kind of embarassing given that the other heads of state acted very statesman- like throughout, even if they were dressed casual. However, it was not surprising given his nanosecond attention span, poor guy being bored most of his day! that is why when he gets really bored , like a few days after we attacked Afghanistan, he calls one of his minions and tells them he is bored, they say, well we could invade another country, that might be entertaining for a while... hence Iraq, now he is bored of that as well so now he wants to attack Iran.
