Jerome Corsi, 'Obama Nation' Author, Set To Appear On White Supremacist Radio Show

So, on last night's Larry King Live, one of the things that Paul Waldman brought up as a way of demonstrating Obama Nation author Jerome Corsi's lack of credibility was his past embrace of bigotry and general scumbaggery, as documented by "a whole series of bigoted and hateful posts" that Corsi "put up on right-wing Web sites." None of which Corsi denied! But, Corsi defended himself by shooting back that Waldman had failed to mention "all my apologies for those statements."

Well, like just about everything else that dribbles out of Corsi's cakehole, you can take those apologies and discount them entirely, because this Sunday, he is set to make an appearance on the well-named "The Political Cesspool" - which, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, is "an overtly racist, anti-Semitic radio show hosted by self-avowed white nationalist James Edwards." In the past, the show has welcomed some marquee names in the hate movement, including "Christian Identity pastor Pete Peters, Holocaust denier Mark Weber and former Klan boss David Duke."

UPDATE: Sam Stein reports that he has received an email from Winston Smith, confirming Corsi's appearance on the show. Smith's email reads as follows: "Dr. Corsi's first appearance on our broadcast was very well received. On Sunday's show he'll be talking about his new book about Barak [sic] Hussein Obama. It'll be a fascinating converstaion [sic], and we hope you'll listen in."

Ironic that the freedom exist for overtly racist people to exercise their 'rights,' while there are so many restrictions placed on the freedom of blacks and other minorities. I learned in Corsi's book that we should practice guilt by association.

So since Corsi is appearing alongside a known White Supremacist, it means Corsi must be in cahoots with white supremacists.

This leads to troubling questions. How many other white supremacists has he associated with?

And if he rejects white supremacists, I must say that this is not something we can trust his self reporting on. Instead, we must assume he is serially guilty until everyone Corsi has ever been in contact with in life attests that he rejects white supremacy. But this is obviously mot the case, since he is associating with a known White Supremacist.

In watching King's interview with him, Corsi was confronted about several of these types of statements including statements about the Pope, calling Kerry a socialist and a Jew, etc. It was quite a LONG list. He stated that he was wrong and that he had apologized for those. The thing that I was just waiting for King and Waldman to say was "The New York Times has compiled quite a list of inaccuracies and editorial gaffes in this current book. If you've had so much to apologize for in the past in your books, then how much of this book do you expect you may have to apologize for in the future?"

NYTimes will probably need to adjust that Best Seller criteria, because everyone assumes that Best Seller means popular; which it typically does. If a couple of people are buying thousands of copies each, the meaning of Best Seller really becomes less of a measure of the book's interest level. I know that it's going to have a "dart" next to it when the list is released ... the dart means that bulk sales, not individual sales are the reason for the number, and thus the sales number is not an accurate reflection of Best Seller as a "popular" monikor.
