Matthew Fox Gets A Mega Raise On "Lost"

"Lost" star Matthew Fox has quietly signed a new deal to continue on the hit ABC drama with a salary raise.

Under the pact, reached earlier this summer, Fox is expected to be earning about $225,000 per episode, up from the roughly $150,000 he most recently made.

The raise puts Fox on par with the stars of "Desperate Housewives," the other ABC/ABC Studios breakout hit of fall 2005. The leading ladies of Wisteria Lane also are said to be making $225,000 an episode.

I love the show... hate Matthew Fox's Jack. Rarely has anybody irritated me as much as his bossy, over-controlling, has to be in charge of everyone whether they want it or not, character. And I've never understood why he's considered The Star of this ensemble show. It takes all the characters to make it work, especially Terry O'Quinn's John Locke, Michael Emerson's Ben, and Josh Holloway's Sawyer. I hope they're getting the raises they actually deserve.

I remember reading this comment attributed to Elizabeth Taylor..".If they (studios) are going to be stupid enough to pay me a million dollars I'm not going to be stupid enough and turn it down."

Mathew Fox has always been considered the "lead" in the show...that's how the network sees him...I agree that the rest of the core cast deserve more..it is an ensemble.

and I don't mind Fox as Jack...actually I think by the end of series...Jack's story could get kind of interesting.
